I loved it so much I kept it inside where I could keep it powered continuously. I only recently disconnected it from the power to see how fast the battery drains. It's optimal recommended setting is only for 10 sec when it detects motion. I have been having issues getting the night vision to work automatically. Usually I'm checking the camera feed & have to manually turn it on & off for it to work but once I leave the live feed it goes back to normal. It aslo take 10 sec- 1min for it to pull up saved footage. It is designed for outside use which is why I bought it. I have only recently started to actually need it outside, so I don't know how well it will do as of yet. Battery operation: For me, there was a struggle deciding between the convenience of installing a wire free device vs the convenience of never having to charge the camera. But overall I have been pleasantly surprised with the battery life (especially considering how much activity is taking place in my front yard with cars, kids etc). Charging also takes less time than advertised and you're able to adjust the sensitivity to motion which can increase battery life.

The app: I am definitely impressed with the features on the app. Taking screenshots, the ability to name the device (if you have more than one), adjusting battery life, sharing the video with invited contacts, etc. I was also pleasantly surprised with the added addition of setting off an alarm. I was able to scare all my kids if that tells you how loud it is.

The camera: Very satisfied with the actual camera. The wide angle is enough to capture front door activity, our entire driveway, and even the street several houses down (see attached video). It's pretty heavy for its size and feels well made (not cheap at...

J. F. White: I didn't want to get a Ring doorbell, but I wanted to be able to monitor my front porch for package pirates. I didn't have any experience with security cameras, and didn't want to spend a lot of money. This one seemed to have a lot of bang for the buck, and so far it's been really impressive.

Pros: Seems solid and well made. Image quality is outstanding. Easy to mount. Easy to connect to wifi. Mine is under a protected porch so it's not an issue but they claim it's waterproof and by the looks I would say that's true.

Cons: None really, but some things to know: It does not come with a memory card, so if you want to capture video you'll need one. Otherwise it stores still images. It was easy to connect to the wifi when I was next to the router, but make sure you have a decent signal where you intend to put it. I would say the app is pretty good but I wish I could view landscape. If you want to continuously monitor video then be aware that decreases battery life (this would be true of all cameras). Have not tested the night vision capability.

Liz MeadeLiz Meade: The media could not be loaded.  Although we live in a nice quiet neighborhood, we have several security cameras around our home. So, I am familiar with security cameras and have high expectations when purchasing a new camera. This little gem didn't let me down! It is small and easily moved from one area to another if so desired. You can also screw it down if you prefer. The video is clear and sound is great! I took a video of my little dog Zoe checking the pool for ducks for demonstration purposes since there didn't seem to be much activity in front of our house!

I especially like that this camera is battery operated and wireless! The battery is easily charged using a standard USB cord, which comes with the camera. The battery seems to last a long time. I have viewed and recorded the video quite a bit and the battery is still strong on the first charge. To store the video, you simply insert a flash card to store the video.

The Adorcam app is easy to use and manages your camera remarkably well. You can open the app and click on the camera to quickly see what is happening wherever you have the camera located. You can then view the area, record, take a snapshot,...
