AM: We have an industrial grade door closer on a rental unit. Once I show rental guest all they have to do is place gently on to the magnet ball.. it hold incredibly well!

Mike Pope: I use these on our doors that have spring hinge closure. Sometimes we want a spring door to stay open and these work great. The magnet is strong enough to hold against the pressure from the springs but releases easily with a sharp tug on the door knob. Nickel finish on the item is nice with no scratch or machining marks. Installation is fairly easy.

Arun Rao: The media could not be loaded.  I installed this door stop on our fireproof house-to-garage door, which has spring-loaded hinges, and often needs to be held open when we're bringing stuff into the house.

The door is high enough off the floor that it couldn't be mounted on the baseboard, so I found a stud higher up and bolted it there. (I didn't feel like drilling into the floor, and that would not have given me the soft stop feature anyway).

I think it's important that it be screwed into the stud, because the magnet is strong. I also used longer screws than the ones provided.

R. Feasey: There were no instructions, so it took a bit of fiddling to work out there was only two possible intallation methods. They function brilliantly. Gone are doors smashing closed as the breezes blow them around. Yes there is a knack to break the magnetic hold quietly when the love or your life is sleeping, but still they are brilliant. To the inventors - congratulations - a superb product at an agreeable price.

JETAZ: This device works beautifully on our very heavy condo door. Now we can bring in groceries or greet guests without struggling to hold the door. We bought a two pack and gave one to our neighbour, they love it too!

DAGMAN: Spring loaded, brushed Nickel doors stops cushion the door upon contact and hold it stationary. Attractive, high quality finish with perfect function although a little pricey. Often are difficult combination to find!
