Mrs.Fixit: Decided to purchase this water filter after reading some reviews about the RO systems taking out all the good and bad out of our drinking water. This water filter does exactly what it’s supposed to and tastes exactly as you expect. Great tasting water, no issues installing this myself and no need for electrical plug due to the battery pack. Looks great and not bulky. We will see how the filters need changing as we go. So far all good.

AKS: Good value and works as expected. Not really a DYI project unless one is good with plumbing. Had this unit for one year and no issues but the false filter replacement sounds. Seems the water system is programmed to tell you to replace the filter even when you hardly use it. For example, we use our Samsung Fridge which has a filter mostly in the summer for very cold water as Texas gets extremely hot and we get all four seasons of weather. In the winter we use the waterdrop all the time as the water is not that cold, so we do not get a bad throat. Since such as the case we have do not need to change or filters in six months. To date we haven't changed any filter we simply reset the unit. The company is simply making money by having one change the filters every six months. I could understand the need for this if one lived in a country where the water is polluted coming into the house (India) where I am from originally where if one drank the water without filtering one would ended up sick or sadly if one lived in Flint Michigan (water crisis issue) where one has to change these filters when informed as to not get sick as to water crisis issue that occurred. Otherwise keep the filters...

TK: I love that this seems to be pretty turnkey as under counter, point of use water purification systems go. The flow of water is great! The taste is great. I had a whole house water filter in my previous and an under counter point of use but both of those did not remove the amount of bad stuff that this one does. The filters take out just about everything I needed to be concerned about. The filters have a very nice life on them. There are 3 filters and the PP is the only one that lasts 6 months. The other 2 have a year life on them which I think is great.
The unit is very sturdy, it fits under that counter very nicely and the removal and replacement will be easy.
I did have a plumber put the unit in and it took him 1 hour so I was pleased.
I ordered replacement filters right away so I would have them on hand.

Dave: I have to say this system exceeded my expectations. We've used other under sink water filtration systems and this has so far been by far the best.

The unit itself is nice quality, compact and just fits nicely under the sink. Everything about this kit is really good quality, down to the slightly rubberized bags that the accessories come in which make for a nice unboxing experience.

The valve is of good quality and allows for both 1/2" and 3/8" connections in either the male or female size via adapters. The main water inlet pipe, a 3/8" plastic tube, come per-installed on the valve. The connections on the main filter are all push -fit and couldn't be easier.

Th e faucet is weighty and feels well made, the handle has nice firm but smooth actuation. It's attached to the sink using a plastic nut and disc which has rubber on one side. It can be tightened with your fingers and with the disc having a rubber side you can snug it up quite well with just you fingers. My old faucet had a metal nut and trying to get a wrench on it reahing up bellow the sink wasn't much fun.

The water tastes great and the flow rate is excellent. The flow rate on it is much better...

Helen L.: Nice design with easily removable filters for replacement. It also allows you to place the hard-drive size filter housing anywhere under the sink. Note, for us mere mortals, installation took far longer than expected due to the following reasons: 1) Removal of old filter system (it would be great if Waterdrop had a connector for copper tubing so we can can reuse the set-up. 2) Difficult working in tight quarters and (not much room to maneuver with the garbage disposal and various pipes & tubes under the sink. It would have been painless to connect this to the faucet at the counter level without needing to use various acrobatic positions to reach the water pipe. 3) Inexperience (written instruction did not mention using plumber’s tape for the screw connections so we had to redo to fix leaks. Once you accept that it may take up to 1/2 a day to install with sweat & tears along the way, you’ll do fine! The included faucet is good quality and looks great with a brushed stainless kitchen.
