Jenjen72: I needed a rear light for my helmet but also wanted a second front light that I could wear. This set meets both needs. They are also super bright and easy to operate. Very happy and a bonus being rechargeable.

arthur-usa: So, these are a great deal - the price is right - and they're bright! If on a 'flash' setting, they're good for at least 3 hours on a charge. I wish the charge cords were a bit easier to attach to the lights and were 6 inches longer...but, other than that - no complaints at all!

First I have to say that your Ascher LED Bike Light Set model HJ 030 gets the job done when it comes to providing light weight safety visibility and forward night vision.
Second I have to say they the hook and basil have design issues. Here’s why:

I bought 6 sets of your lights. I took five sets to Europe and gave one set to my wife who stayed behind, a going away gift, my going away! My daughter and I used them on a 2900 bike trek in Europe from Majorca thru Spanish Pyrenees, thru French and Swiss alps and thru the Italian dolomites. Incredible ride made safer with your lights, Thank you. However one of the only mechanical failures of the entire trip unfortunately was your lights. The list of mishaps to the lights is somewhat comical and provided us some comic relief during the 7 weeks of bicycling heaven. For instance:

Rich M.: The brightest lights that I have ever used!!! I have an electric wheelchair and these are phenomenal!!! All of the traditional lights found at retailers were just not bright enough. These are more than four times as bright as the ones they replaced. I no longer worry I won't be seen from behind. The front ones cast such a bright beam that you can see the light on the ground ahead of me as I'm going down the street. No more potholes in the dark! They recharge quickly and will last for a whole evenings shopping trip (even when I forget to turn them off inside the stores). They don't come with chargers (just the cords), but I bought a few at a thrift store, two for a buck, and keep them all on their own power strip. This works out nicely as I don't use them daily, only when I'm going out alone at night. Then I just pull out the power strip for the lights, and they're charged in no time. The charging “status lights” do change from red to green if you're looking at them head on. The rear lights are red plastic. So if looking at them from a ninety degree angle you see the green through the red plastic. But turn it towards you and it's clearly green. I mention this only because there...
