R. Calhoun: This thing makes snow cone like crushed ice like nobodies business! effortless. I wanted something to make crushed ice, as I am not a snow cone person, so this crushes it a bit smaller than prefered, however, if you crush it first, then pour you drink of choice over the ice, then stir it up, it's great! Eatable ice! That's what I was looking for. Melts fast, but if you are pouring cold drink into it, your good to go. I personally love it and use it all the time!
It leaves small pieces of ice inside that will melt and end up on your counter, What I did was use an old Rubber mat with a dish towel laid over it, I am sure to put the bowl in place after I use it and it keeps things tidy. I empty the bowl when I go to use it again. This thing has been great all summer! I might put it away for the winter. 🤔 Then again, I just don’t know, maybe not.

Rich: A wonderful machine. I've been using it daily. When it's hot out, it really cools the body down. If you push the ice through fast you get a fine snow that is probably suited for slushies using juice. I haven't tested this yet. Really push down hard on the handle and let it shave your ice cubes quickly. If you feed the ice cubes in more slowly, you'll get a consistency more suitable for snowcones. Tiny ice pieces. Still very fine. I've been using my milkshake mixer cups so far and best way to apply the syrup is to use a butter knife to indent the center from edge to edge. Then pour the syrup around the edge of the cup and into the indentation. I tried some Hershey's syrup and wow. It won't sink through the ice very far so you have to help it get to the bottom with your spoon as you eat. Been finishing the day with chocolate. Love it!!!

Amazon Customer: Makes shaved ice as fast as you can load it.
Been using it for a few weeks already and its been a great experience. The build of the shaver is pretty hefty, you won't have to worry about it sliding around. It will firmly stay in place on a solid flat surface. It will take in almost any ice shape bearing that it fits. At most times, you can just rearrange the ice in order that it accepts it better. Note that it drips a lot of water and usually creates a pool of it around the ice shaver so be sure to have a towel at hand. It's also a bit of a hassle to make a lot of shaved ice in a bulk, the shaving ice plate is pretty small and fills up quickly.
Overall I greatly recommend it especially for summers

Crazy Cat Lady: My first purchase was for a different model and it didn't work at all and is being returned. This model had good reviews and I decided to take a chance on it. So glad I did! This works exactly as described. It is sturdy and efficient - making short work of ice cubes. Note- it shaves the ice, it doesn't crush. It's perfect for snow cones but still useable for drinks! Well worth the cost because this sturdy unit feels like it will last for years!

Jessey: I bought this thinking it was an ice chipper. that i would have little pieces of ice. When I used it, it made snow. This would be great for making snow cones, but it isn't good if you'd like little pieces of ice chips. It also leaks profusely all over your counter. I had put my ice in for not even 10 seconds, and it started leaking all over the place. It is very loud as well. You also need to rotate the bowl as it fills up quite fast. I would recommend it for people who want to make a ton of snow cone snow, but not much else and make sure you have a towel nearby as it will leak.

Amazon Customer: I liked it a lot and it works like stated. The only concern i have is with the cleaning but I suspect that ice is water. water is easily wiped clean. I was also concerned that there is no metal shavings entering into the ice. I don't think there would be. Other than that it is a great product and would order it again and would recommend it to others. Works great and does what it is suppose to do. Shipping was fast too. Not a cheap unit by no means. Maybe there could be more information added to the product so one wouldn't have these thoughts. GW
