Amazon Customer: This ice pick is amazing. If you are in need of one, I highly recommend it. We make our own ice and my husband was breaking it apart with a knife, so I bought him this. it is relatively thin, so it fits in our silverware drawer nicely, comes with a screw on top to avoid injuries, has a good grip and works like a dream.
This is probably the best ice pick out there

Bryan: You have to remember that this is freshly machined! So, there will be a little aluminum dust that will come out. I don't know why they didn't just give it a shot of compressed air before packaging?! The threads will be a little rough. Just open and close it about a dozen times and put a drop of cooking oil on them. It will open very smooth after. The pick itself is very heavy for it's size. This is what you want. And the pick is actually larger than what the pictures look like. Usually, it's the other way around! The picking rod that's inserted is stainless steel and is very pointy! It's in there good. So, I can't see it getting loose or falling apart. I'm glad I chose this one.

Stacy Harmon: So far, this has been a great product! I haven't had any issues as of yet with the tip bending and the textured grip of the handle makes it easy to hold on to while breaking down a large piece of ice. The screw on cover is also nice so you don't accidently get stabbed when reaching into a drawer for it or some other utensil. I bought two other similar items at the same time I purchased this one and so far, I've been only using this one as it is my favorite. I would definitely recommend!!
