Texas Gunsafe: What I didn't know if this sharpener isn't flat, making sharpening the scissors properly harder than it would be. So, considering that, I wouldn't use it but I'll still keep it. Instead, I found sharpening the SAK's scissors with a small, flat Arkansas stone to be the best choice.

blind guy: Ok so to start this sharper does work. However you really have to be careful with it. I know it is meant to fit in your pocket, but if you are not blade aware you will cut yourself. That being said I sharpened several knives of various lengths and if did a really awesome job. On an actual swiss army knife it still made me nervous with holding it while sharpening. Like I say be careful. Otherwise nice to have in my pocket with my knife for sure.

A: The Good ... I got one in the end, sadly at the full £13 tag, as the offer price meant you had to prove your age for some reason, nope, not for this product so I had to wait. It's super useful for a light touch up in the field. With the rounded edge you can get your mushroom knife or similar well edged, and the groove is useful for the back edge of the point or a fishing hook. It's a touch up sharpener not a honing one. The dual end thing is ok but no needed.
The Bad ... the price is to high, they used to be well under £10 and offered at £10. The top that covers the little V shaped sharpener needs to fit better and with more of a detent so you can feel it's home, sadly it comes of if you're not careful. Attention to detail, something lacking in most things these days.
If you're going to sell a product at an elevated price the quality should be reflected. In all the years I've been on amazon I seen maybe on or two 5star products and this is not one of them. As for the rating features of a product, we don't need to, it just confuses people and increases the rating.
It's good but not that good. Useful but not essential. I like it, I bought it.

GunNut37086: I'd give this 3 stars based on usability: it's awkward to hold, hard to get the angle right and the ceramics on the end are really hard to use.
BUT, this thing is tiny, would fit in a shirt pocket, and actually sharpens quite well. So, I'd give it 5 stars for convenience and effectiveness.
I'm not sorry I got it, just make sure you're really good on your angle before sharpening or you could ruin your edge.

It's true, this is the first time I ever got a razor sharp edge.
Warning! This is a tiny tool so NO sharpening toward your body! Move the stone along the blade instead of drawing the blade along the stone.
