Michael Murray: You can't really beat this for the price. It is carbon, you will have some corrosion and you will need to oil it and take care of it. That is what carbon does if you use it, but the tradeoff is a super sharp and durable knife. Mine was sharp enough to skin deer or hogs when it arrived, and it can get much sharper with some work. I bought this for skinning and cutting up meat, and it does that great. Really isn't a better carbon knife out there for this price in my opinion. If you go into this knowing that carbon isn't going to stay shiny and pretty, this is the knife for you.

L. Shane Land: I purchased this knife two years ago and am just getting around to the review. This knife has not disappointed me one bit. Living in Alaska, I always look for ruggedness in any equipment I buy and this knife has certainly proven itself. Out of the box, I was initially hesitant about it but once putting it to work, the knife has performed well above expectations. I even field dressed out a moose with this knife in a matter of minutes without a single issue. Just as it was to me, I highly recommend this knife to others. It is a good EDC knife or one you can easily place in a go-bag for just in case. For the price, you cannot beat it in my opinion.

TechUser560: This is my first Mora knife.
I decided to get the carbon steel version because I already have several other stainless steel outdoors/camping/bushcraft knives.
I was very impressed with the sharpness of the blade compared to my other knives.
I have yet to put it through some hard use, but so far I am impressed with how well it carves wood.
The back/spine of the blade has a good 90 degree edge and is deliberately left slightly rough to make using a ferro rod a breeae.
The handle is very comfortable, more so than several of the other knives I own.
The plastic sheath fits well. There is no rattle when you walk with it on your belt.
The belt loop/clip attaches securely.
I know it is not a full tang knife, but so far it feels very sturdy, with no hint of weakness or looseness anywhere.
The carbon steel has not blemished in the least in the past few weeks, even though I've washed the knife with soap and water several times, after getting it dirty with tree sap.
I did dry it well after washing and I applied the tiniest amount of petroleum jelly to the blade to keep out air and moisture. (Any kind of oil/grease should work, though I know there...

JB007: This thing is sharp. Stainless Steel do you don’t have to worry about rust. The blade comes sharpened and it is really sharp. I use for field dressing.
