MaggieMaggie: Update 6/16/2021: IF YOUR PUMP STOPPED WORKING TRY THIS FIRST BEFORE BUYING A NEW PUMP OR NEW FOUNTIAN. So the pump in my cats’ water fountain just stopped working when I went to change the water tank for my cats today. I always keep the tank clean for them every few days and actually scrub them to make sure everything is clean. I contacted Amazon about this issue and the only option is to return the item and pay a 20% restocking fee of about $6 for it. I debated on it and said I will decide later. I checked out the Veken water pump replacement and it’s $14-16 on Amazon. Someone mentioned in the review there that the pump can be taken apart and cleaned and that may help you get the pump to work again so I decided to give it a try.
The plastic cover on the front and back of the pump came off pretty easily and the front part is where you can take off the other round cover and get to the little magnetic fan thing inside. I took the fan shaped thing out and I used a paper clip to clean inside the tunnel of the small fan thing and then after rinsing everything clean I put it back and plugged it in and it worked like a charm!!! Give this a try if your pump stopped, it may just be...

OK, that's it for the dislikes. On to the likes.
*Quiet -- nearly inaudible in 'bubbler' mode and very quiet using the flower fountain top. There's slight humming from the motor, of course, and this can be amplified by the unit's position on a counter, floor or appliance. If you hear more humming than you think you should, and the unit is properly assembled, full, and has a clean filter, try moving it elsewhere as a test. In our case, a different location on a counter made a massive difference in avoiding resonances. Operation is essentially silent if it's placed on a slab floor in bubbler mode.
* Easy to assemble, disassemble and clean -- compared to another waterer we used for years, this is just silly-easy to clean. Pop the top, scrub out, rinse and reassemble. There are no crazy blow-molded pieces to make or buy special brushes to fit into or around. Cleaning the pump is as easy as removing the screen, pulling the impeller out, washing it off, and letting the magnet pull back into place.
* Cat acceptance -- a biggie. We gave our cats access to both waterers (this one and a Drinkwell Platinum) simultaneously...

Kimberly Hass: Updating my review because the customer service was 10/10. The pump did fail after a month, but they immediately reached out to me to let me know about the warranty and that the pump was fully covered. They sent me a new one immediately, as well as some extra filters. Vincent was extremely accommodating and helpful and I feel like if i were to have any problems in the future it would be fixed just as fast. I feel comfortable with this product now and am extremely pleased.
I'm really disappointed because for the first few weeks this product was a game changer. Before purchasing this my cats refused to drink from the bowl and would meow at me until I left the faucet running, which was a huge hassle. I Bought this fountain and immediately they loved it, and I never had the problem again. It's quiet and easy to clean, but my pump failed after less than four weeks so now it's useless. The pump is too expensive on its own, so I have to replace the whole unit. Very upset and will be trying another brand in the future

HOWEVER--and this is a biggie--it just quietly stopped working the other day. No shriek of disintegrating main bearings, no stink of melted plastic housing--just stopped dead, in mid gurgle.
Waiting to hear from product support on a replacement pump.
UPDATE, March 9--I emailed the vendor and in turn received instructions for dismantling and cleaning the pump, along with the advice to clean it every couple of weeks. The process was very simple, and while I didn't find any visible thing blocking the impeller, a little nudge with my finger started it working again instantly. I'm going to raise my rating to 4-star from 3 because customer service was so good. The fellow who responded told me to let them know if cleaning the pump DIDN'T work, and they're replace the motor immediately, so I'm please.
HOWEVER...these instructions and a caution about this possibility should be packaged with the product, and I don't recall that they were.
