Debra B.Debra B.: Bird bath arrived very quickly. It was securely packaged. When I opened it I immediately noticed that there was a scratch in the paint design that was not in the "pattern" of the item. When I put it up to the light it was obvious that it had somehow gotten scratched up in multiple places either before it was packaged or during shipping. I'm not sure which one.
There isn't a protective coating on the paint that would make it more difficult to scratch off the design. I would suggest to the manufacturer some sort of sealant after the paint is applied. It's a beautiful metallic purple on the bottom, and the colors really shine through well, where they aren't scratched off. I don't think the birds will really care, and you can't see the scratched paint if you have it sideways and full of water, so I'm not going to ask for another one.
I find it to be a beautiful small bird bath. It is not going to be something that large birds will be able to use. The dish is only around 12" tip to tip and the depth is around 3-4 inches. It's just the right height with the included mount to add a bit of flare to one of my larger potted plants and the blue really stands out against the green and...

Kyle: Beautiful as a garden ornament and great value for money, I would recommend; however, no matter where we put it in the garden the birds avoid it. It's very reflective especially with water in so I guess scares them. Looks great in the borders though as a decorative piece. So great yes, as a birdbath no :)

Gail: Arrived on time, relatively easy to assemble,looks beautiful but the stem seems too insubstantial to support the bowl especially in strong winds,time will tell but I feel the makers may have designed form over function. Also the glaze on the bowl is imperfect in a number of places. However, it does look wonderful, hope as time goes on my fears about the stem are unfounded.
