I got this due to the fact that I wanted a vitamix but don't have the vitmix money to spend on a blender. I only made smothies in so far. I havn't tried out any soups or butters. I just know that the smoothies do come out smooth and everything is blended very well. Cleaning is easy. I just swish/blend some luke warm water and dish soap and it's good to go for another round.
