Matthew J. Landon: Absolutely amazing. Held off on this purchase for years, just seemed to excessive. I make a smoothie give to six times a week, but had been making them less and less frequently as the 13 year old bender kept getting noisier and noisier.
Finally, set to make a smoothie for breakfast the glass pitcher slipped out of my hand and shattered across the kitchen floor - just a reminder to stay in the moment not matter what the moment is.
I cleaned it all up, set the blender to the side and thought to myself, “well, there goes your smoothie career.” I stayed remarkably calm, careful to pick up the glass as best I could, it was honestly rather therapeutic after the crash of the morning.
About three weeks passed and I was scrolling amazon for lids for some Pyrex storage bowls, and saw and ad for the Vitamix - shocked by the price I ignored it and went on my way.
A few days later I decided to make a smoothie and then remembered, “oh yeah, THAT morning!?” When I got home from work I got onto Amazon and said, “13 years was really good service, it’s okay to replace it.” I clicked “buy-now” and had the blender in a few days.

K. Lanoue: Liked my daughter's Vitamix so we invested in one for ourselves. Powerful as all hell. It is noisy when in use but it gets the job done! We make lots of healthy smoothies using flax seeds and other small ingredients and this blender grinds them all nicely. Worth the price, especially since you can add water and clean the pitcher right on the blender!

francess: Just bought this vitamix with personal size cup attachment a couple weeks ago. Very happy with this purchase. I see other reviewers having trouble with the cup attachment and leaking. I've used this cup attachment every day for two weeks now, and not a single leak. Easy to line up threads for screwing tight. I'm thinking others might be filling it too full and/or maybe not screwing the blending attachment on exactly straight? I've also used the larger blender container to make veggie smoothies, with kale & celery. This Vitamix creates a perfectly smooth veggie smoothie with ZERO celery threads or chunks of kale ribs in it. The cups & lids that came with this bundle are EXCELLENT to carry & drink from. No spout lids hitting you in the nose while you're drinking. I previously had a Ninja blender, and the design of the cup made it so I had to wipe off the edges with the threads on them, before screwing on the drinking lid. If I didn't take that additional step, the smoothie from the edges would dribble down my chin and onto my shirt every time. Also, the Ninja cup drinking lid was very fussy to get screwed on just perfectly to be certain of no leaking when tipped up to...

Arrived earlier than the delivery date and in perfect condition, the courier company was prompt and has never been a problem locally in past deliveries I've received through them.

Undine: Vitamix has a solid reputation, and this blender lives up to it. It's easily capable of blending a variety of items without catching fire like a cheap blender might. It's also straightforward to use, and doesn't have any hidden caveats in the instruction manual.

Don't be drawn in by claims that it "cleans itself", though. You can use it to swirl soap water around to help you (considerably), but for anything except the most trivial mixes, you will need to do some cleaning yourself.

Amazon Customer: Why would Vitamix not inform users in the instruction book that the jug doesn't lock in?
I was holding it down thinking it was faulty and may fall off.
Google informed me that it was normal and that holding it down could damage it.
Shouldn't have to google such an important piece of info.
Including it in the instruction book can save hours of unnecessary troubleshooting!

Steven B: Saw this used extensively on The Food Network, so when my Ninja started to leak I thought I would give it a try! I expected more power and features given the price tag (twice as much as the Ninja), and for the most part was satisfied with that. However the cheaper looking plastic pitcher, it came with is a bit too small and does not lock onto the motor, like cuisinarts and even Ninja. The tamper feature is nice but the removable plastic access port is cheaply made and all of the plastic parts on pitcher are too sharp for older fingers.
Somewhat disappointed given the price, (comes with made in the USA) I guess. Overall decent, not amazing
