Eddie: The author has done a great job in helping you better understand yourself, psychological patterns within you, why these patterns / behaviors are there in the first place, and what can you do to alter them in a way that benefits your life and happiness. Overall, a great read.

Greta: I've been following Nicole LePera's IG and podcast for years now, finding in her holistic method a way to be more compassionate towards my wounds and flaws in my self-healing journey. Her simplified explanations make complex psychological knowledge accesible to everyone and her avant-garde concepts stick with you. This book is a way to give back to her for all the free enlightening content which is basically summed up within the pages of this book.

Dkabe: I loved this. I spent several weeks with it, as I’d read, learn, add to my journal, and then take some time to practice replacing my thoughts, being more present, creating my boundaries, finding my problematic childhood beliefs that were holding me back. I really liked that the author drew directly from her own life and experiences as well as her knowledge and training, and I love how the book ends with a beautiful reminder that it’s all about love and connection. I’ve recommended it over and over

Taru: I gifted this to my girlfriend who was having delusional disorder at some point of life. After reading the book she was so excited in finding the root cause of her trauma that she remarked, " the things that doctors could not answer me this simple book did".

She is perfectly fine now, and the book & it's exercises are helping her a lot. She also follows the author in Instagram. I would like to thank the author Dr Nicole for such amazing book on psychology.

John Bligh Nutting: At last a writer who walks the real walk and talks the real talk. Not university mind based intellectual jargon but about what is really going on inside when we are doing the real work

Sayan B.Sayan B.: It’s her first book and it shows. It is a little hasty and disorganised but the content in it is good. It has insightful new information, some case histories and her own perspective on things which can be very relatable and helpful. When I read it, I felt heard after a long long time.

Rach67: I struggle with how to rate this book. There are some valid ideas in the book but I totally disagree with many things this author maintains and I have not found her prompts helpful. I feel like the author has some serious psychological issues herself, which she wants to blame her mother for instead of taking responsibility for her own bad behavior and insecurities. If anything, it seems to me that she was possibly over indulged as a child, definitely not traumatized, or that her struggles with her own sexual identity may have impacted her self concept. I’m guessing the latter.
She sites an example from early childhood of the one time her father came home 30 minutes late from work and her mother standing at the window worried. She states that she was playing under the table and that she saw and felt her mother’s worry yet her mother did not bother to notice her child and realize that she needed comfort. (Summary of the gist of the text). She sites this as a trauma that later led her to act like a self absorbed brat and scream at her romantic partners and go into rages taking her anger out on others. Really? Seriously?
According to this author, you should never correct a...

Tiffany: While this review is focused on what troubled me about this book, the 3 stars I chose to give are pretty vibrant stars. Nicole appears to be an introspective person who has gone deep into her head and heart to unearth why she thinks, acts and behaves in the manner she does (and has historically). When this level of personal insight is met with a doctorate in clinical psychology, field experience, and excellent writing skills, the result can be a very powerful thing. After reading this book, I got the feeling that Nicole went on a journey of self-discovery and after many years of pain and struggle she came out beaming. And now she wants to share her process, knowledge and wisdom so that you too, can beam.

While this sounds good on paper and may be the driving force behind her work, I find it’s really not as easy and clean as that. My following critique is based on my intuition, which the book tells me to trust. The idea of being a self healer is valid, though I find the way it’s packaged in this book to be concerning. Yes, healing happens within the self, no one can do it for you, it is deeply personal, however, it simply does not happen on your own. I often felt mixed...
