Kindle Customer: My hair has a soft wave (2a/2b) and an obnoxious amount of floofyness when I leave it natural. It also resists styling like nobody's business, and will revert back to the floof wave within a couple of hours or the slightest bit of humidity. It would take a good 45 minutes - 1 hour to straighten with a flat iron and still not lay 100% straight.
With this brush I can get everything exactly how I want in 15-20 minutes. It's easy to use, straightens more hair at once, and saves that ache I get in my wrists when using the flat or curling iron. The heat it puts out is epic, but with the silicon tips on the bristles I don't end up accidentally burning myself like I do with the other two devices. Be forewarned though, you want to use this on already dry hair; moisture makes it pop and crackle.
My one sadness is that it's kinda a pain in the butt to clean and get the little hairs out that get stuck between the bristles. If I fire it up having missed one, I can smell it burning and that's a little obnoxious. Well worth the trade off for an amazing straightening product though! Would buy again!

Has different temperatures that suit different hair types. I have very thick 4c hair that tangles easily- I tried 350 F first just for testing then went to 410 as this straightened my hair easier and smoother. I think the 450 would get it at maybe silk press level.
Dislikes:
I wish it came with a glove (I thought it did, my bad).
One of the screw covers came off in my hair while straightening it and got stuck in my hair because of the heat. This was my first time using the product. It came out eventually.
Overall great product though.

Lisa podolsky: The product did straighten. But left frizz. This was my second purchase of tymo product. Just was expecting more. I think the portable brush would have been a better choice! As it was a brush. And would have had easier manoeuvrability to flip hair etc! Was excited to receive but disappointed by some results!

Irma BellIrma Bell: I received the TYMO One Step Hair Straightener yesterday...I tried it out today 10/11/23 which is my wash day...I have natural hair and wanted something that would be easy and no fuss...after washing and thoroughly drying my hair I sectioned my hair for pressing ...I turned it on...it heated up in 20s to 410F...I did the arm test next to see if it would burn me(it did not)...I basically just brushed my hair with the TYMO like I would any other brush...I had also purchased the REVELON HAIR DRYER BRUSH about a year ago(also at Amazon)...both of these together my hair was finished in 30min(minus the wash)...I was impressed with the design...temp did not change when holding it while using...it did not snag or tangle in my hair...no burn smell or smoke...the outside does get hot so do wear a protective glove if guiding the brush...I'm buying a 2nd one for my niece

hazel l: So far I really love this straightening brush. I am what's considered a lazy natural. I dont like to do braid outs, twist outs or wash and goes so this brush has given me what I need. I love that it goes up to 450F. I know that can cause heat damage but as a lazy natural that does not bother me. I am not trying to preserve me curl pattern. I do use a heat protectant though. The process is much faster than using a conventional flat iron in my opinion. There is no tension though once you get to the ends so you do have to angle the brush so that you can straighten the ends properly. I love this purchase. I would definitely buy this again or perhaps try the updated versions but only if they go up to 450 degrees.
