Skiddlydoo: It's hard to sat wether there is genuine ingredient or the product is legit, these days. All olive oil might as well be fake, etc.

Truffles have a distinct, but not particularily overwhelming flavor. This oil leans much harder to the "overwhelming" aspect. Which makes it somewhat questionable.

With that said; I only trust truffles shaved onto my plate.

As for this oil; used sparingly it will provide a tasty truffly flavor, savoured if used correctly. It is fairly good.

Certainly better than any & every "truffle" item you'll find on any but the mosr respectable menu.

Try it out. Use it properly. Use it sparingly. It should add great enjoyment to the right dishes.

gregj: My wife has very sensitive taste and smell and she loves these products. Real truffles in bottom of bottle. Very fresh and clean tasting olive oil. Wife likes so its a winner!

IT is on the pricier side but goshhhh im love truffle so much and this works PERFECTLY to make truffle aioli dip for fries.. if you've been thinking about it just like I have for a while... JUST BUY IT! WORTH IT. I only got the 100ml because I'm not sure how much i'd be using it, so as to not waste a big bottle. :)

SmileyFace: I've purchased TruffleHunter White and Black Truffle oils several times. Just a drop of oil has real flavor. White Truffle has a milder taste. Black Truffle is a bold, intense truffle flavor that works well with bold meats like wild game, boar, bear, antelope, or goat meat. A little bit of the oil goes a very long way. I use the truffle oils to sear meats by putting about a teaspoon of truffle oil in the frying pan and then adding at least a tablespoon of olive oil or avocado oil so there is enough oil to sear a family-sized piece of meat. Marinating is great with the truffle oil too! I marinate the meat using truffle oil, salt, and pepper overnight. Use a paper towel to completely dry the meat. Then, use your hands to spread the truffle oil all over the meat you want to marinate. Salt and pepper to taste. Seal in a plastic bag or wrap in plastic wrap - get out the extra air. Put on a plate or in a bowl to catch any drips. Leave in the refrigerator overnight. Cook up at dinner. You can add pretty much any other spice you want to the marinade, even add a tablespoon or so of vinegar if it's a tough cut of meat. Just remember not to add any garlic -- the truffle oil has that flavor...

Damon S.Damon S.: I'm a research fanatic and I was in search of the best truffle oils and I kept seeing the TruffleHunter brand keep popping up in the search results. On some lists it is first, but on most other lists it was 5th or 6th best. I waited a couple of days and kept pondering my purchase. Truffle oil is not cheap. You will get banged over the head if you aren't educated on truffle oil and how it's made. I decided to give the TruffleHunter brand a try to formulate my own opinion of the best truffle oils on the market. Well, this one isn't it! The flavor is kind of mild in my opinion. It's white truffle infused olive oil. I like white kernel popcorn popped with either canola oil or olive oil and a little salted butter added to the oil once the kernels start to pop. Then I add Lawry's garlic season salt to it after it's popped and in the serving bowl. I also tried it on some broccoli, mushrooms and asparagus. I sauteed them with the TruffleHunter oil and sprinkled them with some truffle infused pink salt. It was alright. Overall, I cannot recommend the TruffleHunter Olive Oil.
