The TruePower 02-8331 Professional Flooring Jack is the perfect choice for those seeking convenience, performance, and quality. This floor jack features a ratcheting mechanism that makes it easy to use, and it is made from heavy-duty materials that offer extended durability. It is designed to straighten hardwood tile floors without damaging them, ensuring you get the best value for your money. With this floor jack, you can be sure that you are getting the highest quality and performance.James Wolf: We used this flooring jack for two bedrooms. Reading through the reviews prior to purchase, I was somewhat skeptical that it would hold up long enough to complete the job. However, it worked out well for us and is still fit for additional jobs. I did not have any problems with the lever that many reviews indicated was an issue. It would be nice if this tool were reversible so that it can be used to tighten up the gaps in the boards placed in the middle of the floor. As designed, it can only be used for the boards close to the edge. We solved this problem by temporarily screwing a block of wood into the subfloor where needed. A cumbersome process but, it worked.

Jeff RhodesJeff Rhodes: This is not a pro tool, but those cost A LOT more money. Works decent in getting those last couple of boards against the wall. Won't be as tight as your floor nailer, but good enough. As others have noted, you need something under it to prevent it from scratching your floor. The bubble wrap it was sent it worked great for me, I used temp (rubber) cement to glue it to the bottom. I didn't find the release mechanism that difficult. Play with the tool for a while before you use it. Once you know how the pins work, releasing it is much easier.
Used on 3/4 hickory
Recommend this for the weekend warrior finishing up their floor, I would NOT recommend this for a pro who is going to do this a lot.

Reno Guy: Simoly brilliant.
Absolutely well made and easy to use
And its cheaper than most of the similar tools on the market.
I love it.
Could improve with one thing, maybe the teeth to be made smaller as to allow smaller clicks, coz you get sometimes where you wanna push the planks a bit but you end up between two clicks, either looser or harder.
Other than that, its amazing and very recommended.

Mike: Absolutely outstanding! Our bamboo floor seperates every winter because of low humidity and this tool made it a very easy and quick fix compared to what ive done in the past. Seems to be very well made and applies alot of force with ease. Just pop the shoe moulding off and cut a little hole if nessesary with a multi tool (making sure it’s underneath the top of the shoe moulding) slip this in and give it a few cranks and voila! Very impressive coming from a carpenter with 15 years experience.

GK Services: The True Power Jack is tool that every flooring installer should have. I put felt pads on the bottom to protect the floor from any scratches. You could also just put it on top of a sheet of paper or cardboard to protect the floor. It very solid and is a very sturdy welded fabrication. If it is not abused, I am sure it is going to last a very long time. A great tool. I have been installing flooring for over 30 years and it is just what I need to replace the old pry bar.

Kathy: I bought 2 of these because I am installing 3.25 inch wide oak floor boards, I am drilling and hand nailing instead of using a nailgun because I find most of the boards, some of which are 6 foot long are warped and I was using a chisel to pry them into place and they are rock hard and tough to pry. With two of these floor jacks braced against long lengths of 2x4 I can work all the way across the room, gradually shortening the 2x4. I am able to save my arm and prevent damage to the subfloor caused with the prying. I put a thin cut of flooring with the groove against my installed floor because the Jack can slip upward and damage the edge. This slippage is probably only happening because I am using it out in the middle of the floor with long lengths of 2x4. It has a powerful crank and locks securely, saved me a lot of physical effort!! I would give them a five star but for the slippage,I use my foot to hold it down while cranking, WELL worth the money, should have bought 4!

Keith L: I have used this a lot on my 1600sqft hardwood flooring project in my house. Very convenient when I start butting up against the wall. Can not see how one could do some of the boards without this affordable tool. I put some duct tape on the bottom to give a softer edge & face to ensure I do not scratch the board surfaces.
Update: A small wire spring broke after 2yrs of usage--their customer service was great--they are sending a replacement for free and promptly. I really appreciate a company standing behind their product. And, a second comment--sometimes flooring boards are warped and one end needs to be pushed into place. I screw a board into the floor about 6" above the board I'm installing, then use this jack to push against that second board, pushing the flooring board into place. After done nailing, I unscrew the second board and am good. So, I can use this tool in the middle of the floor also, not just against the wall.

Maine Geek: Wow, just get this! I bought this after reading another review about not having it and than buying it after installing something like 400 sq ft out of 800 sq ft.
Truth is I also have about 800 sq ft of flooring to do and in the first room I started in the center (w/ a spline). I did the first half of the room without this tool. I bought this after reading said review before doing the second half of the room. The difference is night and day. The second half that I did has nice tighter seams near the walls. I still have 2 hallways and 2 rooms to complete but I am glad I bought this tool. I honestly wish I could redo the side of the room I did without this tool.
Update 18-03-2018
We finished another hallway. we still have 2 rooms and 1 hallway to complete. This tool is just AWESOME. Don't even TRY to install hardwood floor near walls w/o this tool.
We are laying down 2-1/4" plank floors so 3rd row wall gets little to no face nails. 2nd row from wall gets face nails in dark grain ~12" apart and last row gets every 6" but we like to use a darker grain board to hide the face nails.
This tool is a must for hardwood floors. Just buy it if you plan on...

jjc226: Was not sure which model to buy, but fortunately I spent a little more and bought this one, very sturdy and well made!
My hardwood install went much easier with this, it’s design made it easy to use with one hand when necessary.
I will pass this one down to my boys and they may even be able to pass it down to their kids, it’s that well made!
