I plugged an electric heater in and shows 10amps on clamp meter and 11amps on trailer meter app and since trailer lights were consuming 1amp at the time, this means it's perfectly accurate.

Kipperdog: I was sizing a battery backup for my aquarium and needed a way to measure the load of my filters (canister, sponge, and HOB), air pumps, heater, etc. Really slick way to break out the power line on a corded appliance. Warning: you do need an amprobe to actually measure the amps. This little adapter works great. I had to use the 10X multiplier on a few things.

cold b. zone: My favorite part is the compact nature of the design, the 10x multiplier and voltage contact points. For years I used a homemade dongle for the same purposes but limited to 4 turns for a 4x's value readout. In the event I had leakage current to ground, my home-made dongle permitted clamp readings separately on neutral and ground wires. This unit only permits hot lead amp readings.

ofenmann: This Splitter and GFCI Outlet / Receptacle Tester works great. My only complaint is its length, it's just a little too long.

Howard: The GFCI test facility is excellent. The X1 Clamp-on Ammeter port needs to be the same size as the X10 to accommodate older style instruments.

PGR22: This works great. I too was worried about the size of the 1x area being too small for my amp meter to fit into it. I have two amp meters and they both work fine. This is an inexpensive tool and for the average person will work fine. It feels and looks great. Most typical amp meters will fit both the 1x and the 10 x . It allows you to read amps, check ground fault ,location for volt readings and any polarity issues.
I took a chance with it. Knew that I could always return it for a refund. It has worked fine for me and went ahead and ordered a second one for a another electrician that doesn't have one. Glad I got this.

Jonathan Swo: Works great. Hope it lasts for a decade. Would be great to make one for 220Volts, not only 110V.
