J. Marcson: This device is great for testing components without removing them (just remember somethings ground to the frame). This comes with a few different plugs/clips for power and has a few modes. But really it's a fancy and easy way to power a component to check if the wiring is bad or the component. If you work on aftermarket 12VDC accessories on vehicles like campers, ambulances, or your brother's pickup with the household style wire and wire nuts powering a generic LED flood bar, you need this for troubleshooting.

Ray Styles: I was too cheap to go to a mechanic which usually starts out at $1000 so I had a connection problem for my electric fans on my car and I just couldn’t find a way to test circuit correctly. I bought this power probe I used it as directed and solved the problem quickly and although it cost $135 or whatever sure beats 1000 and I can use it again and again.

Lightheaded1: A great tool to safely check integrity of electrical circuits. This thing has a protection in it too to avoid frying anything. I definitely recommend it.
