QsMoni: This was like a mixture of Castaway and Lost but far better because of the attention to detail.

The story toggles between past and present, unfolding the 10 year marriage and love story of the main character and her husband while simultaneously unfolding a developing love story between her and the man she is trapped on an island with.

It's fairly clear early on that there is the potential for a love triangle IF her husband miraculously survived the plane crash and it's knowing this potential as the reader that creates a sense of angst and concern for all three characters.

Some comments on the story-

The state of the main character's marriage in the first chapter was exquisitely accurate for what it feels like 10 or 15 or even 20 years into a marriage where despite truly loving each other resentments and distance have created a sense of shyness and awkwardness. It's so accurate I briefly felt triggered based on my own very similar experience. The nuances of loving someone deeply, wanting things to work but feeling powerless to fix what's broken is not easily relayed. This author did a perfect job of it.

The side characters are unique and loveable...
