Deimante: I went through all kinds of emotions while reading this book. I laughed, I wept, I loved. Can’t recommend this book enough. I don’t know if I’ll find another queer novel that tops this. I hope it’s made into a movie.

Sheri and Sarah: Casey McQuiston did an exceptional job integrating multiple settings on diverse timelines, something few writers can do. Do I think that ripped jeans circa 1970’s with no mention of bell bottoms to be a bit off, sure. But McQuiston’s masterful character development combines easily to make an easy, engaging read.

C. Reeves: I wasn’t a big fan of Red, White, and Royal Blue, because I don’t always like stories where everyone is conveniently rich and every male character sounds like Tom Hanks. But I LOVED THIS BOOK SO HARD.
Best tropes. Found family. Hurt/comfort. Meet-cute. Kismet. Missed connections. So many good things. So much generational trauma that ACTUALLY GETS A COMPREHENSIVELY HAPPY ENDING. Excellent LGBTQ representation involving the whole spectrum.
I finished this book in two days because it was hard to put down. August is a likable and relatable heroine as a millennial college student in a mountain of debt with a neurotic mom and a raft of crazy roommates. Her workplace, Pancake Billy’s House of Pancakes, feels like every favorite hole in the wall diner you’ve ever loved. And this book has drag queens.
Oh, just read it, already.

Chloe-Jane Clitherow: I didn‘t expect this book to be the way it was at all (probably because I didn‘t read the blurb oops). The thing that attracted me to this book was its colourful, pretty front cover!
This book follows the MC August as she moves from city to city to find the ‘perfect‘ place for her. When she is on her way to university one morning, she meets Jane who has been displaced into the present from 1977. It follows August‘s journey in helping Jane figure out who she really is and how to get her back to where she‘s from but love finds its way in and that is where romance falls into play. August and Jane have a rough ride together throughout this book but seeing their friendship/relationship develop overtime is something that I have enjoyed reading. The character growth in this book is amazing and the inclusivity is outstanding.
I love how this book allows the reader to figure out who Jane is along the way like August and how August‘s flat mates help her through everything. There is a strong sense of great friendships and the importance of having a good friend in your life.
I would 100% recommend this book to anyone who is interested or anyone who has it on...

Johanna: Bra skriven och underhållande. Inte lika bra som "red, white and royal blue" vilken var anledningen till att jag köpte denna av samma författare

Lovisa Sandström: Cynical 23 year old August just moved into a new apartment and started a new job for the summer. On her commute she met Jane, aka subway girl. She develops a huge crush on her and after awhile collects the courage to wake her out. There is one problem. Jane has been displaced in time, she doesn’t remember how she got here or anything really. August makes it her mission to help Jane.
I honestly don’t know about this one. The plot is weird and complicated. Janes issues are the main story line. And then there’s also August’s uncle who disappeared years ago, some roommate and diner drama. It’s a lot.
I really like the characters, they’re all really fun and original. The concept of Jane and her backstory is really great, I quite like her and August together. But the roommates are even better. I would have loved to see Wes and Isaiah as the mcs. Wes is one of the roommates who has a major crush on their neighbor Isaiah.
The writing itself is really good. I like the pacing and the ending is really good. It had me fooled. And the cover is just amazing. So many people love this one so take my rating with a grain of salt.

Cally Jackson: I absolutely adored this book. August, Jane, Myla, Niko, Wes… all such vibrant, beautiful characters. Halfway through the book, I had no idea what might happen, which was fantastic. I love not knowing what to expect.
August’s character arc was wonderful, going from jaded and alone at the beginning of the story to confident, open minded and completely in love. I loved experiencing this transition alongside her. This is the first book of Casey McQuiston’s that I’ve read, and I’m definitely going to read more of her work ASAP.

Laura WinterLaura Winter: This is the book of representation we need. This is the sapphic romance I have been searching for my entire life. This is nectarines and five sugars in coffee and leather jackets and pancakes. It’s requesting the perfect song on 90.9 while eating the Su Special.
I will say right now that this is the best book I have read in 2022 and it trumps everything I’ve read and loved this year by a mile. Twenty stars, please.
The soft melding of supernatural into this romance was absolutely amazing, but I don’t even need to talk about that. I need to talk about the love. The LOVE. Between all the characters. August and Jane. Niko, Myla, Wes, Isaiah. Literally everyone else. I cannot stop screaming in my head about how much I adore these beautiful people that should not be fictional. I need them in my life, right now. I need them to be my best friends. If I had found this in New York, I might not despise the city as much as I do.
Ok, let’s get to this, because August and Jane are adorable and their story is so lovely. I got major invisible life of Addie Larue vibes with the chapters beginning with snippets of people catching glimpses of Jane doing something on the...

Andre A.: I went into this looking for a comfortable romance.
I got doused in New York and dragged into August's head, stabbed a few times in the chest by feelings.
Brilliant prose, brilliant characters.
