D M Waby: I really enjoyed this book and a trip back to the 70s. A great reminder of how things were then! Loved it and I am now reading book 2.

StennyJambo: I was taken back to 1976 and having my brain work out what I would do under the same circumstances ... can't wait to read book 2 in the series

Jim Scott: Loved this book. Being a VOG (very old git). I remembered, possibly with Rose tinted glasses, my own exploits in the hot summer of 1976. Not as up market perhaps having only an Austin J4 van and a one bedroom flat. Quite liked Red Barrel, not so keen on Blue Nun. Just brought the next one in the series. Beats TV hands down.

Carl S: Really likeable characters and a good story, mixed with some great nostalgia for a 70's child. Found myself asking a lot of "what-if's" about what I'd do if the same happened to me. Will definitely read more in the series.

Pierre Nash: Well, what can I say! I don't do reviews but I felt impelled to for this book. If you have a secret interest in time travel and you lived through the 1970's, then you must read this. Brilliantly written and very funny. Difficult to put down. Vastly different from books I usually read. Welcome to my top three Adrian Cousins, alongside Lee Childs and Dean Koontz.

T.Emmite: I don't usually review a novel unless I really like it. I couldn't put this one down. I like the plot, the characters and the writing. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Placeholder: This is truly a unique idea. Cousins spins a story combining surprise, romance, mystery, and suspense. He kept me on my toes, wanting, no, needing to know what happens next. In fact, I had to get the sequel immediately. All this combined with character growth makes for a compelling read.

NRW: I thought this was a well-written story. The author showed what it would be like for a person to travel to another time. The reader is able to feel what Jason Apsley was feeling. The only thing I didn't like: I was looking for a time continuum that was 'realistic'. That wasn't there. Changing the past has to have an effect on the present and future. Things in the past were altered, yet the future stayed the same. That's not possible...even in fiction. This didn't take away from my enjoying the story, though. I recommend this book to anyone who wonders...what if...

William S. Morris: The language of this book apparently does not meet Amazon standards as the original review here was rejected by Amazon as being inappropriate. So reading this book will instruct you in the proper way to be crude and to swear offensively in the language of the Brits. In the book we find out quickly that John dies. His death results in the unusual circumstance that he finds himself alive in his own body thirty years earlier, even before he was born. He has the same name and features, but he is a product of a different mother Apsley and father Apsley. He thinks it is a wonderful opportunity to make changes in history, but finds that no matter his efforts, things stay the same or even get worse except for small things closely intertwined in his own life. He finds a new girl that he finds gorgeous, and marries her. He meets up with a person he knows to be a serial rapist, and attempts to change things which he is partially successful in accomplishing although maybe not all to the good. The book is so full of various bits of British slang that it is almost unreadable. Fortunately the kindle dictionary is able to translate many (not all) of them. In my original post, I mention three...

Holly: I'm a bit flabbergasted by this book. One of the best I've read in ages, and I'm an avid book affection ado.

Imagine being who you are, with all your quirks and idiosyncrasies, and you suddenly die. You wake up back in time with all your memories intact, and a chance to recreate yourself. All the people you knew are alive, but all your actions cause ripples through future events of time. What would you do, and who will you be? What events do you change by your choices, and we you ever know?
