Add water after that for maximum weight. Great product

WK: I like the aesthetic aspect of this punching bag. So we used water instead of sand because we figure it would be less messy if we have to empty it. I Kelly this in indoor, instead or outside. When I kick it, it still tilt slightly but don’t fall over, causing a thud when he bounces back which I don’t really like. Our solution was padding it with 3 layer of mats so when it bounces back, no thud sound. But overall, it’sa good punching bag for my husband and I and little kids to practice on.

AdamQAdamQ: **update October 2023**
Ok so it has been ten months of regular use with this bag, and I'm downgrading my review from 5 stars to 3. After all this time the outside of the bag looks fairly smudged, and I would never recommend a white punching bag. Ever. Also, over time the bag has become a bit more loose after being screwed in, and now required frequent repeat tightening mid workout. But by far the biggest issue was something flagged in my original review - the bag "skin" creeps up and there's just no way to get it back down. This becomes an issue because, as the attaches photos show, after it crinkles up and is used, it develops tiny rips. There are more and more of these on the bag so I feel it is coming apart much earlier than I would have expected.
Look. It still works, and I still use it every other day. But it's expensive and at that price I don't expect such obvious and massive flaws.
Perhaps the biggest reason for my change in review score is that I simply wouldn't buy it again. I would set up a simple frame and buy an aquabag instead.

Luke: I'm only writing this review because it seems like neither the reviews nor the manual do a good job of illustrating to people the difference between water and sand when it comes to filling the base.
The base has a capacity of about 33 gallons. A gallon of water weighs about 8.3 lbs and a gallon of dry standard sand weighs about 13 lbs. Sand is a little more than 1.5x as heavy as water per volume. Going with sand allows you to put more weight in the base per volume.
Also water, as a liquid, is going to carry force throughout the water meaning when you hit the bag it will generate waves in the water within the base. Sand on the other hand is solid and will deaden the force not allowing it to carry throughout the sand in the base nearly as much. Sand does a better job of reducing the force that acts on the base from hits the bag takes, meaning it is even less likely to slide around.
I'm 6'3 220lbs and I put 250lbs of sand in this base (which is a little under 60% full) and it stands on a concrete floor so there's not a ton of friction and I can open up on this bag without it moving very much at all. The bag height is perfect for my height I would say at about 6'6...

Derposaur: This bag is not a total waste of time like some low reviews stated, however it's got problems and I find that there is a very specific use scenario where this bag can be satisfying. I will list them here and the problems of this product that create these use requirements:
-You *MUST* use 300lbs to 350lbs of *dry* sand (e.g. quikrete) to fill the base. Water is useless, the bag will be sent flying by even an amateur's untrained strikes. Only use water for the base if you intend young kids to use the bag exclusively. Do not use sand other than dry sand. It will develop mold and stink to high heaven in a few months.
-BE CAREFUL WHILE POURING DRY SAND INTO THE BASE! An OSHA related job would leave you knowing that working with dry sand can be a health hazard. NOTHING in this product manual warns you about this and I think that's a lawsuit in waiting. To be fair, the manual doesn't tell you what kind of sand to use either, leaving you have to do external googling on how to set up a standing bag. Going back to the health hazard: If possible, fill the base up OUTSIDE of your house/gym in the open, while wearing mask/goggles. This is not the most toxic stuff on the planet but...
