I'm not tech savvy enough to explain other than I went from lagging, slow response time to immediate! All I did was put it in the USB port and worked!

Whiteivory: Moved from home with self-installed ethernet and Lumen DSL to 1990 manufactured single floor home with no ethernet. Main PC is 30 plus feet away through three walls and appliances. No brick. Using Xfinity modem/wifi.
Bought this as an economical "quick-fix" for my networking needs (I use my main PC as a file server for my other three PCs.) I prefer to install the most recent driver (though it came with a CD) and did so.
The antenna, plugged into a USB 3.0 slot, worked right off the bat once my Win10 PC loaded the drivers. I have a good strong signal, have had no drop-outs/delays (so far) and response time has been as good/better than my old DSL. For my purposes (streaming and downloads) it is working very very well.
While I don't like giving out five stars, this has exceeded my expectations given other purchasers' reviews. Its working as well as I expected when transmitting between PCs and the world.
I did not rate "support" at all because I haven't needed any beyond the current driver (which I expect the manufacturer to make available, though that's not always the case.
In the end, if this continues to work as it is today, I believe the "ROI" or value for the money...

Alan: I've increased from 3 stars to 4 as a result of the following workaround. Can't give 5 stars because the workaround was necessary, and because it took many hours to find!
The following apparently solves the problem of being stuck with 2.4G (Wifi 4). Despite all my previous efforts, the device would eventually revert to 802.11n which is limited to 2.4G and Wifi 4. Then I found this:
1) Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center.
Identify the TP-Link adapter device. Right mouse -> Properties. Then Configure. Driver tab. Uninstall Device (and attempt to remove driver). Then IMMEDIATELY unplug the USB device.
2) Control panel -> Programs and features - TP-Link Archer driver (etc) - if it exists, uninstall it.
3) Plug in the Linksys Archer T3U into Windows 11 computer USB 3.0 port
Then Right-click on This PC -> Manage; then select Device Manager.
Under Network Adapters find TP-Link wireless USB Adapter
Right mouse click on the device, then select Properties
Go to the Advanced tab
Click on "Wireless Mode". In the drop-down box, select IEEE 802.11ac
Click on "OK"
If the above solution does not remain successful, I will...

Juan T: This is the second wifi antenna I bought. The previous one got damaged when we moved to a new house. All our devices can get up to 500 GB/s of speed, and the antenna picks up about 400 of it. No complaints here, especially for the price. Software was easy to install. If you have to continuously remove the antenna, don't be too rough with it.
