TheR3alDannyTheR3alDanny: I recently cut the cord and since my house is Ethernet ready, I figured I would hard wire every device possible. I read on an online forum this would work with my Roku Streambar. I plugged it right in to the available usb input, went to settings, switch it to wired and it started right up. its reading 93mbps which is perfect considering the Streambar does not support gigabit speeds.

Sailor SteveSailor Steve: I purchased this item so that I could add a wired ethenet cable into my Ruko sound bar.
The soundbar suprisingly comes without the option to have a wired conection. My WiFi is decent enough. Yet it made sense to go 'wired* as near my router.
This item solves that issue. Just slot into soundbar USB slot and add a wired ethenet cable from a router.' Hey presto' the option to have a 'wired' conection appears in the network conection menu.
Does the job that I purchased it for. I great work around for anyone with a Roku Soundbar with similar issues.

M21532432423: I’ve used these for years on Raspberry Pi and PC they work well with little effort. I use this to connect to a mixing desk after a rather unpleasant Wifi issue during an event where I lost communication to the mixer; NOTE for a wired connection you need the Apple Camera kit to supply power (from the power adapter) and provide the USB port. A new item appears in the settings next to WiFi on the Ipad, labelled as Ethernet, just seup from there and all is good. Works well and much faster than wifi for the mixer (Xair).
