Introducing the BIG RED TR6501B Torin 48" Ratcheting Off Road Utility Farm Jack, the perfect all-in-one jack for your off-road needs. With a 3-ton (6,000 lb) capacity, this jack is designed to provide you with the convenience, performance, build quality and value for money that you deserve. Whether you're working on a farm, off-roading, or just need a reliable jack for the garage, BIG RED has you covered.D. Osborne: "Where have you been all my life" fits this tool precisely. For years I have struggled with pulling fence posts, tomato stakes, etc., etc.. I mounted this tool on a piece of 2"x12" lumber about 2' long as a base. Jacking steel fence post out was quick and surprisingly easy. I've even uprooted small trees. You need a good set of strong chains to grab the item and hook to the jack. It literally takes longer to hook up the pull, then do the pull. Chains seem to work better also when lifting machinery, as the look doesn't always "hook" securely. If you work on a farm or around machinery, you need Big Red!

Made really well, top quality, the lock keyed to my ignition key without issue, and it looks beautiful on my Jeep.
Only thing that it didn't come with was a strap to hold the lever in place, but a 12" velcro strap fixed that.

This thing is a beast. I put it through heck removing some old concreted fence posts and it shows little to no wear. While it didn't work perfectly for my unique situation (rotted 4x4s snapped left the concrete in the ground), I can't blame the jack for that. It did what it was designed to do and it did it well.
My only complaint is that trying to release it to be reset using the lever is a pain. It does NOT want to budge and it gets harder and harder with every attempt. I understand that this is a pretty standard problem with farm jacks in general. Apparently they need to be regularly oiled or greased? So I didn't subtract a star for that.
Good tool, and I would buy it again, especially for large fencing projects, or anything that needs removed from the ground.

Jeff: Bought this from Amazon.ca in a Warehouse Deal which came in a damaged package but the item was new and unused. Saved about 25% and I recycle the packaging anyway so who cares if the box is damaged but Amazon put in another box anyway. The jack seems to work good with no damage and will put to test when another fence post needs replacing but by the rugged build quality, I expect no problems.

Smedley: This jack was great for removing a broken fence post. I had a 4x4 inch fence post rotted off at ground level, leaving 40 in. of concrete stuck in a rough 10-in. hole in heavy clay soil. It looks as though the installer had used a 10-inch auger to drill a 4-ft. hole and just dumped in concrete to fill it, with no sona tube. It probably weighs about 300 lbs, but with the irregular hole and clay, it was really stuck in there. I tried digging a couple of feet and pulling it out with chains and a 2-ton hydraulic jack. It moved slightly, then sank back in when I went to reposition the jack and tighten the chains. This Big Red jack worked perfectly. The first lift was about a foot. Then I got my wife to jam a 2x4 behind it to hold it while I repositioned the jack and tightened the chains. A couple of similar pulls and out it came. The jack worked perfectly. The only possible issues were with my unfamiliarity with the mechanism and how to set it to lift and lower. Check the directions and practice it before attempting a heavy job. Also, the jack tends to tip forward during the lift. I was able to hold it back by hand and by tilting the base support back...

Amazon Customer: I have the 60" Hi Lift Jack which is great , but heavy and expensive. The Torin was selling for a lot less - so I thought for a second jack that would not be worked as hard as the more expensive HI- Lift it would be sufficient. The jack seems well made enough and relatively sturdy, the mechanism okay. Still as with most of these type jacks you should consider the loads being put on them especially if trying to pull tree stumps etc. I used it to lift my mid-size ( 3000 poundish ) car with the Hi-Lift Mate wheel attachment. It worked fine and is lighter to move than the big 60" Hi Lift. The mechanism was a little stiff, but not that bad. I think for non-extreme use it is likely fine - especially if used occasionally. The product appears to be a good value from my limited use. I don't give 5 stars unless really exceeding in value - I would not give more than 4 for the HI-Lift also, but I do think that jack will likely last longer especially under hard and heavier use. Nothing wrong with this one if used within reasonable limits.
