justin romano: Don’t waste your money on this piece of junk! It’s no faster than a regular one with the single piston. And this piece of junk broke. After the first time I used it to lift an engine block, went back to pick the engine block up out of the back of my truck wouldn’t even lift it and started spitting hydraulic fluid out of the seals. Biggest waste of money and time.

MikeMike: The engine hoist purchased from Amazon with the included eight ton hydraulic ram would leak down 1in every hr with roughly 75 lb attached to it. This new Torin Big Red did not leak down at all within 1 hour with the same weight applied to it. The double action works, but not great, it gives you more distance on the push-up than push down. Overall great quality. Box was damaged but I've come accustomed to damage boxes from Amazon, especially if the items are heavy.

Dan: Bought as a replacement for the Powerfist 3 tonne hoist - perfect fit and actually gave me a few extra inches of lift, same weight rating. Seems higher quality than the one that came with my hoist, good valuie compared to local instore prices and well no one has any except amazon it seems!

restless.studio: I had to replace the cylinder of an princess auto engine hoist. Of course, princess auto did not have the part in stock - in any of the stores 🤣 this is the exact replacement. 2 bolts ist all it takes to remount the cylinder - this took about 5 min. to install.

Kanaka: I was saved by this ram. I have a Powerbuilt engine crane which was given to me several years back. In 2018, I purchased this ram as a back up because the original had been used numerous times and at over 15 years old it was just a matter of time before it would leak. Today was the day. In the middle of pulling a motor the original leaked. Was able to drop the load safely and in 5 minutes the Big Red was installed and we were able to complete the removal and replacement without any further issues. Works perfectly after sitting for five years. Not sure how long it will last but it did save the day. For now it will stay in place and I’ll rebuild the original to become the back-up. I purchased it for less than fifty dollars and was delivered without any issue. Even at the current price it’s a good deal in my opinion.
