SNJ: I used this on my 8x12 homemade dump trailer to replace the 2k# jack that bent in the trailer parking spot. It is always easy to crank up the jack, even with a load on. The drop leg feature is really great, but pulling 2 pins out to drop the leg isn't the most convenient. (What more do you expect on a $60 jack?) It's a fantastic value for the money, and I do highly recommend getting it. A similar jack locally was $115-130.

Johnny_4321Johnny_4321: I used mine for my boat's outdrive, install, uninstall, and storage kart. Works great. Just ground off the painted area to where I wanted to weld to. Steel is almost 1/8" thick anywhere on body. I cut the foot piece off and welded the removable square tube to the kart frame. Then I slid the upper part of the jack over that piece and pinned it. Folks, the foot piece goes up 16 inches and can be pinned. Then there is an additional 15" of cranking height. My neighbor and a couple of his friends want me to make them one. I will definitely reorder this part.

William Struse: I left my old trailer jack down a little too much and then took dip in the road just a little bit too fast. Don't need to tell you what happened next.
In any case I purchased this Heavy Duty Drop Leg Jack to replace my old one. Installation was pretty easy. I simply cleaned up the metal where I wanted to weld the jack and then I extended the jack so It would hold itself at the desired location. I then marked the jack and then cleaned off the black paint where I wanted to weld it. Welding was a breeze.
Five minutes later my Curt Side Wind Jack was installed and ready to use. Really pleased with the quality of this jack.

Packaging was terrible. Boxes torn, bent, and patched with smaller boxes.
