AUBREY STOLLAUBREY STOLL: A couple of things to note.
1. The bracket on these does not allow much of a lip or molding on the tank. Not a huge deal, i just used command hooks to place the lights on the wall directly behind the tank. (See pics)
2. They do get warm, nothing alarming but if placed inside a hood you might keep an eye out.
3. They may not show off the fish colors the absolute best, however they are not bad at all. (I would like to see a light output chart for these)

Things i love about the lights.
1. They are slim and look good. Once you remove the sticker that comes on the top of them.
2. They are pretty bright. See pictures. The pics are in a room with all lights off, so all lighting is from these fixtures.
3. My plants have grown very well under them. They are on a 40gal bow-front with no co2.

I will definitely be buying more for other aquariums

Leonardo D.Leonardo D.: Initial unboxing and product review (will update soon). This felt like a steal, and in a way it was. It's a simple, slim light. One color (white), sleek design, on/off switch. A couple of things right out of the box:
1. The tightening screws on both of these were THE WORST to deal with. The threading was terrible plastic and so were the screws. I fought more with that than anything else. It's a real pain.
2. They will only fit on rimless or thin glass edge, not a standard aqueon or other rimmed tank. They look soooo sleek though, it's nice.
3. They are bright but sit quite low, so the light really only shines in one spot if your tank is wide. Works perfect and bright for my 5 gal tall, but I need two for my wider 8 gal. Overall, I could buy one more and be happy for what I got at the price I got it for.
4. The on/off switch isn't near the light, it's in the middle between the plug and the light, very anooying place, I wish it were closer to the light itself but regardless, still good to have and you can put it on a timer to never worry about it.

I'd probably buy these again for smaller tanks, can't wait to see how they function after about a month. They look...

Oscar A Roque Rivera: I bought these lights as a possible replacement fixture for a 55 gallon plastic-rim tank. Although I did not use them for this purpose, I did keep them for my 10 gallon quarantine tanks, and they are more than adecuate. I would say that they could easily and nicely light up any tank that's no more than 3 feet in length by 1 foot in width. Any lengthier and you might need to set up a second one to avoid dimming near the ends of the tank (if your placing it on center). That being said, these are designed for rim-less tanks! So even though I managed to put them on my plastic-rim tank, they only went down a few millimeters and the tightening screws never reached down enough to be of use. So they're on, plastic to plastic snug. Still, they're light enough to cause no concern of them falling into the tank on they're own.

ZachZach: Picked these up after much deliberation and comparing to other products and so far I couldn't be happier. Mind you it's only been about a week but my custom 25 gallon guppy tank is amazingly bright and my plants seem to be doing quite well. I put a few clippings of scarlet temple that wouldn't stay in the substrate of my other tank (thanks to my Corys) in the tank as a tester and dispite being stuck to the intakes of the other tank for 2 days even those are perking up. I have noticed the aluminum body does get rather hot, possibly due to havong plugged them into the same wall timer but I'm hoping that won't shorten the life of these pretty awesome lights. Either way though the 2 pack price I thought was a great deal especially in comparison to other $50 to $150 options in the market. The hot casing is the only reason I didn't give them a 5 star but would likely buy them again should they fry out in months to come. Definitely reccomend these lights for freshwater fish and plants!

FishingMTFishingMT: Came quickly with prime, very nicely prepared for shipping. Absolutely love these lights! I was skeptical when ordering because only a few reviews. So glad I did it anyways! I used both of them on my 55 gallon community tank. I wasn't sure if 2 of them would be enough to light the entire tank, it is lit & it is bright! Crystal clear white light, exactly what I was looking for. I have lightly planted tank & my plants were begging for better lighting. (Frogbit, Hornwort & amazon sword, ect.) These 2 lights have fully lit up my aquarium, I can actually see all the little critters in my aquarium now. I had a submersible LED light suction to the lid of the tank, it wasn't very bright & had a greenish hue to it. These lights are bright white, easy on off switch and unplug from middle of the cord if needed.

Pros-
Extremely Bright!
Small/ Light weight
Waterproof (not submersible)
Easy to hook up
Beneficial for plants
2 work perfect on 55 gallon
Can use with timer

Cons-
1 and only con is; it wouldn't fit on the side if my tank because of the plastic trim. I used a clear piece of plexiglass taped to back of aquarium & hooked lights...
