V.F: The title interested me as I had already read another authors series on a PI and his K9 side kick. There isn’t much in this book about the K9 partner. The book was an easy quick read. No big suspense. Good for a Sunday read. Will I buy others in the series. Maybe if I see them cheap.

J. Myers: This is the first book I have read by this author. Surely the others are much better. The plot and the story are ludicrous. Anything I can say about it will be a spoiler, so I don't want to say how. The characters are straight from the cookie cutter. There are dogs, and they have names and breeds, but we don't know much more about them.

Kindle Customer: I liked the mystery and intrigue, but wanted more inclusion of the dog, Simon Garfunkel. He was the best character, saving lives, as long as he was with the team! The humans were okay too, but...

Geri: I love David Rosenfelt's Andy Carpenter series. I hungrily wait for each new book and read them quickly. I even purchase the hard back book even if it is more expensive. No way do I want to wait for the paperback! I also very much like Rosenfelt's method of character development. His development of secondary characters made me really want to read this spin-off series. I love this series! It's as great as I expected and develops the characters as well as I expected. I'm so glad that the characters from his Andy Carpenter series are being fully developed in the K Team Series. I'm happy to read these from the perspective of Corey Douglas and his wonderful K-9 companion Simon. And I get to know the characters of Laurie and Marcus from the original series much better in this series. It's a series I'll read as quickly as his original Andy Carpenter series.

The Avid Reader: Once again David Rosenfelt has delivered a mind teaser with humour. I am in the process of reading all of his books. I will be very sad when I have read them all.

Amazon Customer: Same old same old except Andy has been replaced by Corey. So disappointed. I have read every book by David Rosenfelt. I am afraid this is my last of this series.

Daune Robinson: I love David Rosenfelt's books. He is a creative, funny, dog oriented, sarcastic - and did I mention creative? writer. I love the Andy Carpenter series - and I love this new book in the newly started K Team series. It's different - not so much a legal perspective, but more of the investigative side. I thoroughly enjoyed the new character (Corey) but I would have liked to have seen more dog action in the book.

One of the interesting things about this book was that it started out with a plot line that I knew from the second chapter was misleading. But one of the things Rosenfelt does very well is to lead you to the truth - slowly, with twists, humor, and fascinating diversions. This book was a prime example of his expertise in that area. I loved the path to understanding - and thoroughly enjoyed watching the bad guys meeting karma. I loved the red herrings (some I knew were red herrings, most I didn't) and I loved the 90% mark when I suddenly understood the reason for everything that had happened. I was so excited when I realized what was going on that I dropped a cookie I was eating - so my dogs want to send a special thank you to the author for that unexpected treat falling...

Kindle Customer: A new team goes to work with a new ex-cop, his K-9 partner, and familiar characters Laurie and the ever enigmatic Marcus. They are an efficient if unconventional investigative group. Andy Carpenter is an occasional character. A good mystery with humor popping up at times. An excellent story with enough twists thrown in to keep you guessing. If you're a fan of Rosenfelt, you'll love this book. If you're not already a fan, this book is a good start and incentive for you to read the Andy Carpenter series. Then you can read the other books by Rosenfelt. As you can tell, I like everything David Rosenfelt writes.
