Amy Kimes: This cookbook is by far my families favorite of the many cookbooks I’ve purchased over the years. Every recipe I make, the question now is, “is this from the Dizzy Cook cookbook”? And the migraine information has made such a difference in my life. I have said many times that Alicia has saved my life. I went from daily migraines to maybe 1-2/month. Highly recommend to anyone suffering from migraines.

Charlotte simpson: I have suffered from vestibular migraine for 5 years now and only recently found out that food can trigger them! I quickly looked up recipe books for VM and this is the first that popped up.
I also did some research into the author of this book and i’m so glad i found her and this!
Would definitely recommend to anybody with migraine or any vestibular condition!

Lily Mom: Before I purchased this book and began my migraine elimination diet l was suffering terribly from migraines, nearly daily. Due to medical issues I am unable to use conventional preventive medications for migraine. I was desperate for relief.
I hesitated to begin the diet since l was vegan, and that would make the headache diet harder. I made the hard choice to stop being vegan and bought this book. Fairly quickly l began to improve. The headaches became less frequent and less severe. I started to figure out my food triggers. Before this l didn't think l had any. The migraines had been so chronic that it was hard to identify a cause.
About 2 years later l am so happy with my progress. I often get a 2 or even 3 weeks long streak of headache free days in a row. When l do get one it is less severe and goes away faster. Usually weather is a factor those days. I am less affected emotionally too, since l feel confident that a headache day is just a minor setback. The hopelessness is gone.
I learned from this book which supplements to take too. For instance, l hadn't known there were different types of magnesium. This book taught me which one to choose and why. Reading a cookbook...

Charity: Starting the heal your headache diet was daunting and I’m so happy I ordered this book - I love the energy bars, granola, dressings and other things. I was at a loss for having to cut so many things from my diet and the recipes in this book make it way easier. This book is a game changer :)

Amy: This book is a great starting point for trying to eliminate potential food triggers for migraines. Rather than just a long, complicated list of foods to avoid, the author also includes lists of things to eat and a variety of tasty recipes that include the good foods and not the bad. The idea is to eat this way for a bit and then slowly start adding foods back in.
Migraine is a complex issue, and not all the information is complete or will necessarily apply to your situation. There are some contradictory things in the book, and some things are presented as fact when further research seems to show they are not widely accepted as facts yet. I took off a star for this.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or just miserable, this is a great resource. The range of recipes is helpful for inspiring and getting out of a cooking rut. There are some simple main dishes that are quick and easy to whip up, but a lot of them are a bit more involved. If you have kids and a job, I recommend just starting with a few recipes and simple snacks, get the items at the store and go from there. There are also some easy substitutions that make the switch less daunting (e.g., some of...

ForeverYOUNG: If you suffer from vestibular migraines, this cookbook is just a godsend. There is super useful info - easy to read and understand and BONUS - great recipes too. This is a diagnosis for me so I am busy collecting all the info I can. This is the book I go back to again and again - especially right now when I am just learning how to live with this diagnosis. On the cooking section, I need photos when I cook anything - and - this so much more than a cookbook - but when you get to the recipe sections the photos are plentiful and beautiful. Lots and lots of them. This book as a whole is worth every single penny. As I get through some of the recipes I will check back in if it seems an update of my review would be helpful. They seem reasonable for anyone who has a general understanding of how to cook - no julia childs or martha stewart like stuff as far as I can see. I fold down corners of the recipes I want to try in all my books and this one is almost entirely folded!

Nancy Iliffe: This cookbook and way of eating has been a lifesaver for me! I am 64 yrs and have had migraine of some sort or other, including vestibular, since I was 4 yrs old. My husband is just about beyond belief at how well I have done since the end of January of this year since altering my eating habits. I am just about 4 months in and my improvement in mental clarity is a huge surprise to both of us...I can actually think clearly and can once again do my own banking!!
This shows me I have food issues related to my migraine diagnosis. The Dizzy Cook entered my life in the nick of time with her food plan and delicious recipes and her easy & approachable personality. If you know anyone with migraine/ headache/ or cluster headaches I highly recommend this book!! I am actually excited about life again, and very very grateful🤗

SuMo: First off I want to say how thankful I am that this book is available in the UK! It is well worth any small effort that might need to go into converting the recipes. There is a conversion table inside the front cover, and with a few exceptions (mostly with particular US brands) the ingredients are readily available. Ok so we have to spend more time reading ingredient lists on the products, but it's a small price for real drug free migraine relief. For UK readers, there are a number of us on the Facebook page, so help on safe UK brands and substitutes is readily available.
Now the good stuff. There is a nice mix of recipes that will appeal to adults and kids. There is a great deal of variety in flavors - Mexican, Mediterranean, Asian, as well a more standard fare. I've already tried a few recipes and found that I had almost all the ingredients on hand. The Curried Carrot & Sweet Potato Soup is already in weekly rotation. The recipes are simple to make which is good, and there are really helpful suggestions for ones to make when not feeling well.
I found Alicia Wolf on Facebook after reading Dr. Bucholz's Heal Your Headache book which I found helpful, if not...

Patricia Hammer: Part of my Vertigo can be controlled by diet. She has wonderful recipes, but also a lot of good advice on what not to eat if you have Vertigo or any kind of unexplained dizziness. Wonderful book!
