KEVIN JONES: Although I use the API master kit. I like the test strips also. But to pinpoint anything in your aquarium that you may have concerns about. I would use the API master kit.

JR: Dip it in water, wait a few seconds, then read results - doesn't get any easier! The bottle has a handy label/chart to interpret the colors and determine if the water is healthy for freshwater or seawater fish. You don't need to download a guide or request a chart. Having the chart attached to the bottle is handy because its available when the test strips are ready to read. No looking for additional resources to figure out if the water is healthy for your fish.

Monica: If you can't figure out why your aquarium fails Test you water. Do not believe what is claimed by company. Poland Springs claims to be 7.0 but tested it to find 6.5 glad now I had these strips

RainyRainy: Thanks to these little strips and the easy to read chart under the label, my new tank was cycled in no time. If one of the test strip colors was off, I knew just what to study and do to make the water healthy…I couldn’t do it without these test strips.
I have learned so much. Between these test strips and changing to RO water (Bluevua counter top RO machine) I have a really happy community of fish. I have found that having live plants and drift wood makes the entire aquarist-experience soooo much better and easier.
I add a new live plant regularly and the fish LOVE them, (So far the best live plants and the best prices have been on Walmart.com, usually with free delivery. I love you, Amazon, but you are weak in the healthy live plant department.)

Mark KleinertMark Kleinert: I thought it would be a good idea to have a quick and easy way to test, but it is not accurate compared to the API test kit which is renowned for its accuracy.
The description also states that it has all the most important tests but there is no test for ammonia, one of the most crucial tests when cycling a new tank.
Sorry to say that this is pretty much a waste of money.

Sarah: The main reason I bought these strips was to quickly determine nitrate levels. Unfortunately, it's not quite reliable to do this. It seems generally ok in accuracy for the other tests (in comparison to my other test kit or when I add Seachem Prime to make my extra-soft water a tad harder, it does change colour appropriately to reflect the change I made), but the nitrate reading just does not really change even when other tests show that I have quite a high nitrate level.
Because it doesn't seem to want to read accurately for the test I tend to care about the most, I cannot give it more than 3 stars, and I feel generous.

Eamonn: Best test strips I've ever used, not as accurate as a liquid test, but good enough to get an idea of water quality, I have multiple aquariums and liquid test could take me a day to complete, with these its about an hour and if anything looks high or low then do a full liquid test.. saves time and money. the phone app is easy to use.. only downside is the 100 packs are only available outside UK. only 10s and 25s in UK but mine came from USA quicker than expected, so really no downsides.
