Me: Does what it says…tests the water! Wish the color code chart was more straight forward like when I read my pool water test strips…got the job done though…cloudy water…but,…at least nothing is wrong with it!

Brittany: This is definitely a must have. My fish was acting strange and looked like he was dying last night so I gave him an epsom soak while I did a water change, because I figured it was the water. He perked right up. It was the strangest thing. I unfortunately didn’t have any testing strips so I ordered these and they got here the very next day. I tested the water and the nitrates and the ph were pretty high still. So did another water change today and now I have happy fish. The tests are reading normal. I’m not an experienced fish keeper and never thought of checking the water conditions I just put water conditioner in and called it good.. I know, I’m terrible.. but after last night these are a must have for me. They're super easy to read and seem to be pretty accurate.
A little tip. I cut each strip down the middle so that I have even more tests. They’re still really easy to read. Just be careful

Yawn: These test strips are okay, they are easy to sue however rather expensive. I have only given 3 stars because they are not overly reliable. When you dip them the tests change colour to indicate the water permaiters, with this being said the colours often run off to the other test spots and create a fair amount of mess. The PH test part dripped on to my counter causing a stain and also contaminated the other test spots giving misleading results. I purchased a better test kit that uses water sample tubes that’s more reliable and easier to read.

CLTGUY: Obviously test strips are the easiest to use you just stick it in the tank throw it around a few times and compare the colors to the chart. The only thing I did not like about these is that the pH color chart is actually a little tricky to decipher between 6.5 and 7 as the colors are light orange and lighter Orange. So it's hard to tell I need to adjust my pH up a little bit. They will definitely tell you if something is really out of whack or drifting out of whack.
