The TENROOP Emergency Radio is the perfect companion for any weather emergency. This upgraded 5000mAh solar hand crank radio is equipped with 4-way power (AM/FM/NOAA weather alert), a flashlight, a reading lamp, a power bank, and an SOS alarm. Rated the best weather radio based on light output, value for money, ease of use, and battery efficiency, the TENROOP Emergency Radio is an essential tool for any emergency situation.Kevin S: Bought this as an emergency use radio. Have used it to listen to the radio while camping and used all the different lights. The radio reception is excellent, once you dial it in. The dial is a bit touchy, a little movement on the dial will shoot you past five stations if you're not careful. Other than that the sound is what you would expect from a radio a bit bigger than this one. Pretty clear, not too tinny sounding and it is pretty loud.

Amazon Customer: UPDATE!
Shortly after writing this review, this unit totally failed. I've attempted to recharge it using the plug-in, solar and the hand crank which all failed. Now, with the dead, unchargeable battery, the unit is totally useless. Low quality junk.
Pros: This really is a versatile little "radio". Not only is it an AM/FM and weather alert radio, but a flashlight, a nightlight and a 5K mAh battery pack that can be recharged with the USB charging cord, the hand-crank charger or the flip-up solar panel. The unit can then be used as a portable power source to charge other devices. It was able to charge my phone twice from 50%, so probably just one full charge from 0%. It's small, as well. It fits easily in my fishing pack.
Cons: The built-in speaker is terrible. Not really listenable unless you're very close. The sound quality is good through stereo headphones, however. There is also a built-in panic alarm with a slider switch on the front panel that is quite obnoxious. I've had to tape it over because it gets inadvertently activated when puting into or taking it out of my pack. It also lacks Bluetooth.

M W: I’m in a rural area and we’ve been experiencing pretty regular power outages that typically last AT LEAST 6 hours. Over this past weekend we had a 25hr power outage and that was the first time this item was truly put to the test. The battery life for charging my phone was decent but it certainly didn’t make it through the whole outage. The radio however was on for around 20hrs straight and still hadnt died by the time power was restored. That was very important to me because the complete dead silence that comes along with power outages makes me very anxious. I would definitely recommend this!

Dave: I purchased this radio six months ago and haven't used it in an emergency - so it's a little unfair to be forced to give it a star rating. I wanted to post here though because when I received it I immediately charged it up and placed it in my emergency closet. I just now took it out of the closet to check how well the battery held up after 6 months. I was a little disappointed to find the battery had lost fully half of it's charge in that time. I have not turned it on at all during the 6 months and it is stored in a dark place (no excessive heat or cold). Had there been an emergency I don't know how long it would have worked properly with only a half charge. Certainly there would not have been enough power left to charge my phone and use the radio for any meaningful time. At this rate I will need to recharge the internal battery every two to three months to ensure enough power for emergencies. Yes, I know I can crank it and/or use solar, but I consider those modes only useful for the smallest emergency "top-offs" of the battery. I just wanted to advise people of this issue so you won't put it away for a year or two only to turn it on during a real emergency and find the battery...
