AimzAimz: I love this burner. I heard up very quickly so you really don't have to wait too long to use the other one if you need to switch pens. They feel good in your hand though sometimes they do get a little too warm if you dont remember to turn it down.

It's a learning curve to do pyrography but this tool made it easy to practice and test things out. low and slow- don't get to heat happy when burning wood!

Latisha: It's a good starter burner, albeit, I'm finding that it does not maintain heat very well. I can be running a 2 inch line and half way through it begins to cool. Other than that, the burner works well.

Althaea: This is my first pro level wood burner and I couldn't wait to try it out once it arrived. I made my first custom sign with it and I was really impressed with how easy it was to do the lettering with some of the nibs it comes with. It heats up fast and cools quickly and digitally displays the temp setting giving you more precision control of the temp so You can get the perfect level of burn for your project. You have two pens that can easily be switched out one with the other and changing the nibs is a quick process as well. I highly recommend this product.

LauriLauri: I started out using a typical soldering iron type tool. Took FOREVER to burn anything, it caught every groove in the wood, often times it wouldn't burn the natural hard pattern in the wood I was working with causing my work to look unevenly burned. I did some extensive research (I'm talkin MONTHS of it. I don't like to waste my money on things. Especially when I'm gonna spend $100.) I found this product. I instantly fell in love with this machine! 1) the description is absolutely true! I've came across products that had the same style of description, but the reviews were awful! The videos were awful! 2) I love the responsive staff who work with this product. I emailed this company, and got a quick response. Awesome. 3) when I opened up this box, it was nicely packed with some helpful instructions, so if you're a beginner-they got you! 4) the use of the product is INCREDIBLE! It heats up and cools down in no time, and I mean it. No sooner when you turn it off and unscrew the little screws your product is cooled down. SarahSarah: I purchased a cheap $25-30 burner at Michael's first, but it stopped working the third time I used it. So, this was my next purchase.

PROS:
It comes with a lot of different tips and two pens. Tips are easy to switch out, and the two pens are nice if you are bouncing between tips on a project.
It heats quickly and the temperature stays consistent.
This burner performed beautifully on the half a dozen or so projects that I made so far. It has surpassed my expectations.
CONS:
One of my burners had a short in it. However, Tekchic replaced it for free and very quickly.
A guide regarding suggestions using tips would be helpful.
There are shading tips, but they are all flat and not bowl shaped. It is very easy to error to an over-burn from the edge of the tip if the shader is not perfectly level with your art piece.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this product, particularly for a beginning woodburner like me.
