Jim from Ky.: I've had many of this type item. This is one of the better ones for the price. Easy to use, easy to clean. You'll need some arm strength to make it work well, putting pressure on the top to make it work well. I use it often. Very consistent patty sizes. I buy the 3 lb burger rolls, and cut them a little thicker, the put them in the press and make bigger and more solid burgers. I use loose ground burger as well, just takes a little more effort. I do spray the top and bottom with cooking spray most times, for easier release. Also, i'll sprinkle salt and pepper in the bottom before loading, as it presses into the burger better. Also on top before I press it.

MLR: Ground beef did not stick but I dampened the bottom plate and push plate, a suggestion by another reviewer here.
I recommend this patty maker. IF it falls apart I'll update my review but it seems sturdy enough for patty making job.
