AlderandaAlderanda: Ayant 2 fibres une FFTH et une FFTB et n'ayant qu'un port RJ45 à l'arrière de ma tour et pour éviter de jongler entre les 2 réseaux, j'ai acheté cet adaptateur pour pouvoir ajouter une nouvelle source de réseau en cas de défaillance d'une ou pour switcher si une est moins puissante etc.. facilement sans à chaque fois changer le câble réseau derrière ma tour.
Immédiatement reconnu sur un switch USB 3 et reconnu sur le pc en tant que Realtek USB GbE Family Controller, connecté avec un cable RJ45 Cat 8 j'obtiens du 921 Mo Up et 460 dw pareil que avec ma carte réseau giga intégré à mon PC Intel(R) Ethernet Connection.
Pas de perte et efficacité totale de l'adaptateur.

Ptite astuce, pour pouvoir jongler de réseau sur votre pc, utiliser les paramètres métriques (cf copie ecran) et ainsi vous définissez la priorité du réseau, pour basculer de réseau sans débrancher ou désactiver une carte réseau, changer la valeur du métrique. Plus le numéro de métrique est bas, plus la priorité est élevée, et plus le nombre est élevé, plus la priorité est basse.

Promocje UKPromocje UK: I have ended up with 4 of these network adapters for my home network :)!

I'm using a Lenovo Tiny with Proxmox on it, I bought this USB adapter to expand the amount of available ports and started to play with pfSENSE. I'm IT chap but I started my adventure with Linux/Unix about a year ago, so everything is still new to me. After connecting it to USB 3.0 in my Lenovo Tiny and rebooting Proxmox, it found it straight away, without any additional configuration, ta da! I've added another bridge and it was ready to create a VM with pfSENSE. Quick first install and ta da! pfSENSE worked straight away.

Note, if you notice that you get slow internet connection on pfSENSE and it is virtualized, don't blame this adapter, it is absolutely fine! You just need to disable hardware checksum offload, navigate under SYSTEM > ADVANCED and select NETWORKING tab. Under NETWORKING INTERFACES section check the DISABLE HARDWARE CHECKSUM OFFLOAD and click save, reboot.

Wayne M.: This review is specific to: (USB 3.0 to Ethernet Adapter, [Plug & Play] Syncwire 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 LAN Gigabit Network Adapter). I have not been compensated for this review and I paid full price for the product. I had been experiencing port failures (Ethernet RJ45) on Intel NUCs. I purchased this adapter expecting to use it as a temporary patch and diagnostic aid. It's performance was good enough to justify leaving it in as a permanent replacement for the failed Ethernet Port. It's been in place for over a month without a problem and no significant loss in performance. I purchased 3 more of them as spares for my home network. I've subjected it to a wide variety of networking task and it has not faltered in any way. These units work!

FJL: My husbands fairly new computer has been connecting to our Internet service using a wireless connection to the router. And he found that the speed for downloading messages and web pages was much slower than mine, which is connected directly into the router. So we bought an Ethernet cable and discovered that his PC didn't have an Ethernet port. So we bought this little adapter that can connect to his USB and then into the other end of the Ethernet cable. So now he has direct connection and is VERY happy.

C. Newstrom: I previously bough the Anker A7611 which is rated very highly. It's pretty and worked well in normal use. I've recently been transcoding high definition movies (via Handbrake), however, and found the Anker would over heat and shutdown when moving the roughly 20 GB files from the server to my laptop. I received this Syncwire 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 USB 3.0 Ethernet adaptor only a couple of hours ago and immediately tested it by moving 10 x 20 GB movies off the server. This new adapter didn't miss a beat and attained full gigabit speeds without getting nearly as hot as the Anker adapter. I will, of course, revise this review if I find any problems after more use, but I doubt I will as the test I ran is as hard a task as any I can imagine for such a device.

Mountainspring: Thank you SO MUCH!!!!!! This is a wonderful product SYNCWIRE USB 3.0 to RJ45 Gigbit Ethernet Network Adapter. Plugged in and it work perfectly.

Burchased INSIGNIA brand ethernet USB adapter from Best Buy, had to install software, but the adapter still did not work on PC or Mac. Its trouble shooting asked me to download additional driver offshore from Taiwan. Still not did not work. Did online search and found I am not alone. Many other people had issue when tried to use INSIGNIA adapter. Had to return it to Best Buy. Lesson learned, if you see any one start ever posted about some product, do not buy it.

SYNCWIRE adapter is straight five stars, that why I ordered it from Amazon. And, indeed, plug and play, it works well.

Rene & Pamela: I have to leave a comment because I have a comparison. I had a TR unit and before I changed to my new syncwire I checked the bandwidth speed and it averaged 146Mbps, but the sweep was all over the place, from high to low. When I just now changed the unit out, I could tell right away that this new one was a lot better. So I checked out the bandwidth and it clocked to over 200, to 200.50, but it was an even sweep and the unit does not get hot like my other one and it has the little green light and amber light which I rely on. So, folks you cannot get any better than this unit. I am extremely happy with this piece with a value that far surpasses what I paid for it. Thank you Syncwire!

It did not last very long until it quit working, they sent me a replacement right away and after a few weeks it also went from 800Mbs to below 60Mbs. My Rj45 gives me a solid 100, so I quit using it. Was fun while it lasted

LucaLuca: Ho acquistato il dispositivo per la necessita' di collegare un portatile sul quale la porta ethernet e' danneggiata.
Il dispositivo e' basato sul chipset RTL8153 e viene consegnato in una piccola scatola con una grafica ordinata e pulita, che illustra le principali caratteristiche.
Le dimensioni sono contenute ed alla fine del breve cablaggio e' presente il connettore USB (supportato usb 3) , coperto da un comodo tappino protettivo che raccomando di non gettare via.

All' inserimento del dispositivo, questo viene visto come una memoria e contiene i driver appropriati per l' ambiente windows, il che e' molto comodo.

Una volta installati, il dispositivo funziona correttamente senza alcun problema (provato ed usato intensivamente su windows 7, provato e funzionante anche su windows 8. Immagino che w10 sia perfettamente supportato)

sono presenti due led di stato (link e attivita') , non viene indicata da questi la velocita' del link.

Circa la velocita', sono rimasto sorpreso in quanto la velocita di trasferimento , provata in ambiente corporate su rete gigabit e con un file molto voluminoso, e' maggiore con questo adattatore che con la porta integrata...
