Eugene weigant: First of all, I purchased this camera to put in my mother-in-laws room so we can watch her more closely as she is elderly and an amputee as well as health issues. This camera was easy to install. We were able to move the cameras vision field up and down, side to side. You can zoom in also. You can hear whatever room it's in and you can also speak into the apps microphone. There is also an alarm button to alert the person the camera is on. We can see her in pitch blackness due to this camera having night vision. I love it because I can zoom in on her, see her breathing movements in her chest to make sure she's still with us or even see if she fell off the bed all in the dark and the night vision makes it so we have peace of mind while not disturbing her while she's asleep. The picture is not clear or sharp like a TV but for the price it's really great because it's clear enough to see who everyone is, clear enough to see expressions or chest movements. That's all the good things. Next are the not so great things.

sez: I bought this Camere to replace 3 others I was using for my room, which were fixed angle, ( so I could not move them remotely. ) I use it to keep an eye on my best friend scooby ( my dog ) plus I have roommates and I like to leave my door open so my dog can come and go, so this works out perfect I can move the camera from my phone and a big plus is I can talk to her and the roommates now know I can see and hear at all time's and that keeps them at bay. So I removed the three other cameras I was using and this camera now does what the others did plus. it has a great range of motion and you can use a memory card, and with service you get 24/7 cloud service for a great rate. I can't say enough good things about this camera. I will be ordering 2 more for the front and rear doors to my home 👍👍👍

Amazon Customer: This camera works great for what I purchased it for! I wanted to monitor the kids room while they are upstairs by themselves. It was a pain at first to connect, but once it was figured out there were no more issues. I can view the live feed from anywhere and at anytime from my phone. I can record when I do not have the ability to sit foe a live feed. It can stop recording without notice, however, so I wouldn't rely on recordings for viewing. There are hiccups here and there, but I didn't need something high-tech and expensive. This one is perfect for my needs. I love the zoom function! The camera is clear and the viewing range is perfect!

Goss-HammondGoss-Hammond: This little camera was perfect for what I needed it for. I have a 1 year old boxer who has become too intelligent for his own good and somehow managed to learn how to get out of his crate. This is the Odin camera. I'm able to view him throughout the day while at work and can even talk to him which is great. Added a little SD card and it saves the feed. Had this camera now since January and keeps on keeping on without a hiccup. The picture quality is pretty nice and when it's dark you can see clearly. Would buy again if came down to it. The apps interface is so simple to use it even your 99 year old grandmother could figure it out.

INSTALLATION
I had difficulty with installation as the router had the same name for the 2.4 and 5.0 GHz channels. The router then chooses the channel. This is a 2.4 GHz camera. The instructions are explicit on this point, but I chose to try my luck in any event, without success. The process of differentiating the channels is quite simple. My router setup screen has a switch to allow the router to choose the channel. Flipping the switch forces one to give different names to each channel. I simply left the 2.4 GHz channel with the original name, xxxx, and named the 5 GHz channel xxxx-5GHz. If your router already has a distinct 2.4 GHz channel you should not have this difficulty.

Even then the camera did not install. I left it powered down overnight, and the next morning the installation went smoothly and was done in a minute. Presumably the camera needed time to forget its previous setting. Moral: read the manual and follow the instructions, making sure you have a specific 2.4 GHz channel.

The camera can be used free-standing or with the supplied bracket for wall or ceiling mounting.
