Jeremy Carter: We weren't sure what to expect when we bought these, but we were pleasantly surprised to find this seeds are from Guatemala, home of some of the best cardamom in the world. The company should really advertise that because most product you find are from Asia and quality is hit or miss, in my opinion. We immediately bought a 2nd baf. Highly recommend!

M.Z.S.M.Z.S.: So the cardamom seeds in the packaging were fresh, exactly what I expected from when I broke them from the husks. The moment you grind cardamom, it explodes with flavor, so the less you need. That’s why I don’t buy grounded cardamom. As you can see, I placed a good amount of the seeds in a pepper grinder and it works just fine. You can do the same, just make sure to adjust the grinder accordingly.

Oweary1Oweary1: I was very leery when purchasing this; another Reviewer stated the product was open and the full volume of the package want received— it’s also a risk when buying spices site unseen, as they may be their old stock, or just a defective product. I actually was handed the package by the delivery person — impeccable timing. Once I opened it, the smell was intense! I put this inside my Stainless steel masala Dabba and will use it when making any recipe calling for cardamom; gone are the days of having to crush and decorticate the pods myself; now I can go straight to the spice grinder or my mortar & pestle, and have really fresh cardamom. I will purchase againfrim this Vendkr, it appears 3 1/2 ounces suits my needs and will for a very long time, whether I’m making Swedish cardamom buns or tea.

+0: I actually bought a spice grinder for the purpose of grinding this bag up and I am so glad that I didn't blindly do that. What has generated today's review is breakfast. This morning, I started the meal by putting a dash of seed in an oiled pan, to toast. I then left the kitchen to get my ingredients together for a french toast breakfast. When I came back, there was a scent filling the room that I have never gotten from ground product. This translated to the flavor of the entire meal and I have never been happier with the outcome. I might, if baking, grind the amount needed to stir into a recipe, but for everything else I am sure that seed will work better.
