bjkbjk: After a DNA test, I discovered that I was 39% Scandinavian and began researching and baking all things delicious that were Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian. These aromatic cardamon pods are fresh. I crack them open with my rolling pin and use them to make St. Lucia buns for Christmas. I also add them to my morning coffee. Cardamon pods are nutritious and a good source of potassium, calcium, and I magnesium. When my handsome son visited, we baked cardamon buns! They were delicious. Cardamon can be added to sweet or savory dishes --like beef ball curry. Cardamom is native to India and flourishes in Guatemala. I add cardamon to my homemade chai tea.

Owen Scott: I must give credit to some Iranian friends for this wonderful product added to strong black tea. You can buy cardamom-flavored black tea - often in a Persian market - and I definitely recommend that, but two or three of these seeds broken into a pot of tea, Cardamom-flavored or not, is a fantastic addtion to the flavor of the tea. Lately, I have taken it up a notch by adding a thumb-sized amount of grated fresh ginger, and a little bit of honey. With or without the honey, this is a very nice breakfast tea recipe to start the day with.
