Sherree: I was hoping this would help to file my chihuahua's nails down smooth, unlike the nail trimmers that leave them sharp. The grinder is quiet so it shoudn't scare a pet, but it takes too long to trim each nail. At least a minute...my dog got impatient while holding her paw to grind them. I did return it because of the time it takes to grind them down.

CMC Ohio: I wish it ground a little faster.... takes quite a while just to top off a nail. We have one pup who hates the clippers and I was hoping to use this to grind them instead, but it would take over an hour and he's under 10 pounds. Just doesn't work down the nail fast at all. But it will be very handy to smooth out the nails of all the dogs after using the regular clippers. It is quiet as can be! But it does heat up pretty quickly so you should pause for a minute in between nails to let it cool down a little bit. Still a good product, just not totally what I was hoping for.

nuttybtch: It's a little smaller than I expected. Would probably work better on smaller dogs, but I got it to work ok. It takes longer to file nails down on bigger dogs

mbi: Just received today. Opened it up and was already partially charged, which is nice. Our dog is the sweetest dog you will ever meet, unless you're clipping his nails. A groomer in the past suggested a dremel. Bought one and it sucked. Fast forward to today when we got this one. I had that gut feeling to just try it. I felt like hell froze over because he patiently allowed me to do his nails. Super happy we got this.
