MarMarMarMar: It's functional and nice looking, but the finial at the top came corroded. It smelled super nasty. I cleaned it up as best I could, and it still works, but that spot is still not great.

OKdokie: I loved everything about this set. It's not only useful, but looks wonderful & decorative next to our FP. My husband designed , built & custom rocked our FP using stone from his Alma Mater (School) & was very picky about the FP set he had, but a couple of pieces had been "misplaced" or carried off & I got these for him for Christmas. They are sturdy, well worth the money & I thought they were a great bargain compared to similar ones I had priced. Highly recommended.

E Michael: This is a great decorative fireplace tool set for someone who uses their wood stove on special occasions once or twice a year. These tools are significantly thinner and weaker than the set I have with my other wood stove. They bend easily and I doubt they will hold up for the life of the stove.

"Cast Iron" (as listed in this item name) is a hard non-malleable metal that cannot be bent. Since these tools bend so easily, they are clearly not "cast iron" as described. They appear to be simply made out of mild steel.

How do I know the metal bends?? The "Sturdy well balanced stand" was not actually well balanced. I needed to bend one of the legs to the proper position so that it would not wobble and stood up straight.

I will use these for a while, until I can find a set to replace them. I will likely buy the replacement set in person so that I can confirm what I am getting is sturdy enough for regular use.
