Michael Fox: Very solid feel and appearance. Easy to put together. Assembly is quite basic. The packing plastic on the handles was annoying, but understandable as the handles are very attractive. The base is good and heavy so it does not tip over. The gold highlights are better looking in person than pictures can do justice. This 2-prong log grabber is preferable over the a 3-prong at it works better in tight places like a wood stove. I would give this a 5 star as it has been a great run for 2-1/2 years.
However, the last three months have see all of the pieces come apart except for the poker and the base. The broom broke first. Then the Log Pliers became loose at the pivot and are not able to be repaired or used safely. Finally the shovel broke. I do not think we are aggressive with them and they did do VERY well for 2-1/2 years. It seems the metal has simply given way on not just one, but 3 tools.

Michelle: It is good, works as you’d hope, but the tools fall off pretty easily. I would have gone with a different option if I’d have known how easily they would fall off.
