Shelly B.: Love this tool set!

AJ: In terms of price, this is one of the cheapest sets on amazon. I use it with a small wood stove always wearing gloves and it does the job. The handles are not the most comfortable and all the tools are short. Yet, those who complain about how short the tools are need to simply read the product description. The pictures and dimensions are clearly explained and I didn’t find any misrepresentations. Overall, this is a budget set for a small wood stove.

Nathan Smith: The brush is made out of soft plastic. The brush bristles will melt and curl if you even sweep warm ashes with them. I would look elsewhere for a fireplace tool set.

Lee KLee K: Although I've yet to start my first fire & test them out later today, they do appear to be sturdy... except they're extremely small. I wish I'd looked at the product dimensions more closely... which is my fault. They're gonna work. But, it's purely comical. And, I literally can't wait to get roasted by our friends and family when they come over to watch football later today. 🤣🤣🤣 I'm sure I'll be replacing these with a larger model in the near future. Now, I just need to figure out the best way to market slightly-used, tiny fireplace tools on Craigslist. Self defense weapons? Clean up after defending yourself?? Or portable tools for campers? 🤣

Michael Elder: Larger children and normal-size adults beware: this set does does the job, but it's much smaller than you would expect. The rack stands a whopping eighteen inches in height, so if you're looking for something substantial to grip in your hands then look elsewhere. The tools work, and if you want to maintain your fireplace on a budget then you could much worse. You should not be surprised when you open this set to find something tinier than you expected. Other than the size and the lack of a good gripping tool, I have not been disappointed with the set. The tools are substantial for their size and have not seen any change or damage from being used consistently over months. The brush has seen heavy use and has not lost its shape. If you're looking for a budget way to maintain your fireplace, then this set works well.

Zing: Ok, so I knew that this was a cheapo set when I ordered it (I am renting at the moment and just wanted to be able to use the fireplace) , but there is one thing that ruined it, and the rating.

The fireplace is small, so the small size of the tools is fine. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the stand, shovel, and poker. The material is pretty thick and heavy. They're the perfect size for a small fireplace. And the shovel seems pretty well-made. It will most likely last as long as I need it to. The stand and poker are solid, so they really can't break or fall apart.

The brush is the problem. I removed one star right off the bat, because the brush shown is NOT the one that was in the kit. The one in the kit is black and the bristles, if you want to call them that, are very short. They look like they are made of plastic, and they are deformed, as though they were compressed at an odd angle and then melted , to permanently hold that shape. They are not very flexible at all. So, since they are SO crappy (even more so than I expected), I removed another star.

Finally, the best (worst) part. The reason for taking away the 3rd star. The brush FELL APART (I mean...

CF: First, my broom isn't as pictured either - it's a black, square-headed broom and it works GREAT. The handle screws into the broom head (not glued), by the way, just FYI.

Meanwhile, these tools are fantastic for two things - cleaning out my wood stoves via their front door access and ash pans, and for tweaking along any fire you'd open your front doors to access. Might also be great for side-door access but I can't speak to that.

Details: The broom head is only slightly wider than the shovel, which has a perfectly flat even floor so the shovel acts as a perfect dust pan for ashes you sweep up with the broom. It's also an ideal width for getting around andirons for ash removal from stove interior. The poker is a GEM. A simple right angle turn without angles or curves, it gives you super control when tweaking the placement of kindling and beginning logs. Also sturdy enough to lift big ones for readjustment. The whole set is ideal for all tasks that are normally done without distance required, and I really appreciate not having to balance longer tools for that. The handles are ergonomically comfortable with good grasp control, and all three tool handles loop readily over...
