Kyle: After some trouble shooting with the key timing it works no problem. Best to turn the key for three seconds then switch immediately to the second key for three seconds and then switch back to the first key quickly.

Fredrick Dean Allen: The kit was literally plug an play with my 2011 3.5 Ecoboost F-150. This took me exactly an hour and a half to install. Most of that time was spent trying to find a 5.5mm socket. Actual time spent dinking around with it was about 30 minutes.

Took a star off because the instructions are woefully inadequate. No pictures of the plugs that need to be pulled or where they're at. I watched a 3rd party YouTube video on it (the official video guide is also really bad). If you watch a decent video you'll find that the installation is super easy.

The programming took me two tries. I misread part of the instructions the first try. The process is also really easy. Just gotta read the instructions completely BEFORE YOU START. Don't try to program while reading. It won't work. The timing is precise.

The thing works. Triple press lock on your key and it starts. Triple press again and it stops. The truck remains running if you open the door. You can put your key in the ignition and turn it to run and drive away seemlessly. Pressing the brake without the key in the ignition set to run will instantly shut the truck off.

Works wonder and is cheaper than most other after market solutions without having to carry extra set of key.

Hope Lorenz: This is a genuine plug and play device. Just take your time. Programming it can be a little annoying and difficult but follow the instructions step by step and it it will be fine.
Only thing I don’t like about this particular model is the truck honks twice to let you know the truck is starting.
Some other models and silent. I start it at 6am every morning and I’m sure my neighbors are getting tired of hearing it honk.

Grumpyroger: My 2014 F-150 did not come with a remote start, I first bought one of these to put in my 2018 Nissan Rouge Sport, it was so easy to install and worked perfectly, I decided to get one for my F-150. It was even easier to install on the F-150. Works perfectly every time! I needed a couple of tools and about 40 minutes later I was done. Now both my Wife and I are happy drivers. I highly recommend the START-X Remote start kit to everyone. Easy to install , way cheaper than the dealer and does just as good a job. Now I can cool it down in the summer or heat it up in the winter, all with the touch of a button. I love the safety features that are built in as well.
