The Ridge Man: Performed as advertised. Little cheaper because it was 2.5 lbs no 2lbs Never used that media before and found it faster and shinier than walnut shells. More difficult to dry as opposed to a dry media. So total time spent working with Brass is about the same..

Verified Purchaser: I use these in my redneck wet tumbler that I made out of a broken inkjet printer. The drum I use them in is made from (new, unused) 4 inch PVC sewer pipe. With these pins, a few cups of water, a big ol' squirt of Dawn, and a 9x19 hull full of Lemishine (also available from Amazon) I can get brass so shiny it hurts your eyes to look at it in the sun. Even the primer pockets are spic and span. If you have thought about wet tumbling, even if you don't build your own tumbler like I did, use these pins. They are great.

BobBob: This media works WONDERS! I pick up some truly nasty brass from the gun club I belong to, and it is unbelievable how well this cleans up the brass, making it look absolutely brand new! I deprime my brass before tumbling, and the pins even clean out the primer holes to the point you would never know it was fired brass.
One catch is to make sure you run the pins for a few hours just by themselves with some water and dawn dish soap, to round off the sharp cut ends and remove any manufacturing residues. After that you can begin shining up your dirty brass with unbelievable results! I typically add my stainless pins, dirty brass, and then fill the drum up with lukewarm water. At that point just add a teaspoon of dawn dish detergent, and a dash of lemi shine and its ready to tumble! After about an hour and thirty minutes of tumbling, the brass looks brand new.
After tumbling dump out the dirty water, and give a few rinses with cold water. Then sift out the pins, let the brass dry, and your ready to reload.
I will definitely be buying more now that I have two more tumbler barrels I built.
