Michael M.: Unable to connect to home network. Will update rating when I hear back from manufacturer.
It took about 2 days but I did hear back from the manufacturer with detailed instruction on pairing.
The unit was paired and worked right away, I was up and running in a couple of minutes.
Good customer service; however, I would have appreciated better instructions from the get go. Kyle (at CS) promised to forward my suggestions to proper channels. Four stars

Amazon Customer: Do you have Sonoff 4Ch pro R2 Wi-fi Smart switch? I used to use R2, and it works well.
Pro R3 is hard to connect with phone. if you have it, I would like to exchange.

D. J. LubinskiD. J. Lubinski: I used 3 of these to convert my whole home Baseboard heating into a "smart" system. Each channel pumps the switching12v to a bank of high amp relays which are connected by the black/red pigtails strait off my independent Baseboard 20a circuit breakers. 240v power goes through the breaker to the relay by the pigtail, switched by the relay that is controlled by the sonoff, then back through the red pigtails to the lead in the breaker panel feeding the thermostat then into the heater. It works great! I can schedule zones to be on/off and different time of the day, but most important I can turn OFF all the heaters during the 2 peak power periods where my electrical rate is nearly 2x normal. I've also got 4 sonoff ZigBee thermometers that can override and turn everything back ON if it gets too cold. It works great and these 4 channel devices are the heart of it all!

Michael W. Hubbard: The Sonoff is installed at a middle school. The Admin office is being remodeled and the 1950's era bell system couldn't be moved. The Sonoff is mounted in the data room, 18Ga wire was run to the office and connected to the push button switches on the ancient bell system. Now, the office staff can ring the bells from their temporary office on the other side of the campus.

Installation
The only problem I had during install was the initial connection to the Sonoff. The wireless at the school has both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz on the same SSID. I didn't notice that my phone connected to 5Ghz which isn't compatible with the Sonoff. Once I figured that out, all I had to do was disconnect the phone and move far enough away that it reconnected to the 2.4GHz wireless.

The only criticism is that the dip switches are under the housing with no access without removing it. Once the Sonoff is mounted you have to remove it to get access to the cover screws if you need to change the dip switches. Not a big deal in this case because I set them before mounting and they were happy with the 6-second delay I selected.

E' infatti possibile impostare tre differenti modalità di funzionamento:

- self locking: modalità predefinita, ovvero un classico interruttore. Premendo un pulsante (o inviando il comando on/off da app), l'uscita corrispondente cambia stato e lo mantiene fino all'invio di un nuovo comando on/off.

- self locking + inching: in questo caso ogni uscita si comporta come un deviatore temporizzato, con un tempo impostabile tra 1 e 16 secondi tramite dip-switch sul dispositivo. In questo modo all'attivazione dell'uscita (comando ON), questa rimane attiva per il tempo impostato dopo di che si spegne. La cosa interessante è che il ritardo può venir impostato in maniera indipendente per ciascuna uscita.

- interlock: la modalità presente in solo questo prodotto della linea Sonoff e che lo rende particolarmente adatto per il controllo delle tapparelle: in questa modalità, infatti, un'uscita esclude tutte le altre (inter-blocco), evitando quindi il rischio - ad esempio - di inviare...

Mr James Tanner: The media could not be loaded.  So after contacting the seller, the sent me a replacement, shipped from China, but it arrived within about 7 days (The seller did let me know before sending, and I said I was happy to wait a little longer for delivery from China).

I only got around to testing the replacement today (Sunday 3rd March 2019). It arrived with Firmware 2.70 on it, and the DIP switches were already set as I wanted (I'm assuming they tested my usage intention first before sending - I'm simply using them as self-locking relays, simple on/off switches that work via remote, buttons on unit, or WiFi app). So far so good, I got the remote paired first try, no problem at all, I then got it connected to WiFi... I did have a some minor issues here, however I think that was down to something on my network being problematic. I rebooted my router and it then connected and works great.

So all in all, first unit was obviously defective, however the seller was very quick to respond and offer a replacement, which is working great.

Since it's now working perfectly for me, I have increased my 2 star rating, up to a 5 star because it's doing every thing I wanted it...
