Colby: I was definitely hesitant to purchase a product like this living in Alberta. I wasn't sure how well it would perform in our winters. Well we have now had it installed for a year and it has not let me down. It has exceeded my expectations actually! Not only are the batteries still at 100% after a year, but overall the performance has been outstanding. It works without question in -40°C. The fingerprint scanner is the best I have EVER used. A must purchase! We have bought a second for our garage and recommended to every one we know.

Alex G. WishartAlex G. Wishart: I looked for a long time for the perfect lock which included a finger print scanner, key lock, and digital pad entry. The equipment also had to withstand cold temperatures which is perfect for Canadian cities that have a harsh winter. I landed upon this unit and it has been absolutely perfect for me. It is robust, well built, easy to install and use, and works with a well created app on your phone. I really recommend this product!!! The price is also extremely competitive relative to luxury brands which aren’t as well built. I recommend to all and would buy again!

jumpinbreeze: Once installed, the code works well the little cards work well, and the key works well, but the fingerprint ID is hit or miss. I’m going to try re-programming it to see if that helps. One thing to note is the bolts that hold the whole thing together on the door are too long for a standard door. Be sure that when you install it if this happens to you and it’s flopping around that you take out those long Bolts , and put in the little short Bolts ,, that are for something else in there that you don’t end up needing.

Installation is simple: The only thing holding me back from this purchase was the video showing I had to drill a hole in my door. Since my door is a firewall to the garage, I wasn't looking forward to it. But, apparently this is a new model, and no drilling! The installation guide is confusing and the pictures are frankly inaccurate, but regardless installation was simple.

Setup just works: Throughout the setup process, 2-3 clicks and a swipe and BOOM! It just works. No errors, no problems, no issues, just worked.

Features are excellent: Fingerprint works great. Key, sure. Passcode is great but sometimes it takes a few taps to wake up the LED panel. App unlock is quick. Re-lock time is fully customizable. Speaker has high-med-low

App: Easy to setup and use. The only feature missing is the status of the door lock, similar to what you would find with a deadbolt lock. I don't have the Gateway so I'm just using the bluetooth connection. I just ordered the Gateway to enable WiFi capabilities.

Michaela Ferguson: I absolutely never leave reviews- but for this… I HAD to. I’m extremely disappointed with the lock and the lack of costumer service for this product. The lock installation was very simple and was completed without any problems. Not even 2 weeks after getting installed, the lock jammed and locked me out of my house. I checked the battery, and it was fine. All my codes and fingerprints would prompt the machine to “unlock” yet it wouldn’t actually unlock. I tried to use the key to manually open the door, and it was still jammed. I followed instructional videos, but the only way to reset your lock is if you have access to the battery compartment. This would have been great if I wasn’t locked out and had no way to access that. I tried to contact costumer service, but they have no phone number listed online, and it takes up to 48 hours for costumer service to answer emails. I had to pay $159.00 for a locksmith to come out to my house and break the lock off. I’m furious. I emailed the Smonet costumer service, and I have yet to hear a response. I’m EXTREMELY disappointed in this product for the price and poor quality.

When I received my lock, I noticed that the handle was on the wrong side for my installation - I needed to be on the right side, it was on the left. So the instructions say that you just need to hold the lock in your hand and turn the handle toward the top, and it will flip to the other side. My inner handle worked, the outer one did not - it stuck at 10 o'clock and would go no further.

I contacted their customer support department, and very shortly later I received an email. Fiona in their support department called me a little while later and tried to work through what the problem was. She called some engineers over to talk, and we had a discussion about what could be going wrong.

Their engineer asked me to open up the back of the lock. They waited patiently while I retrieved my screwdriver and got the assembly apart. As soon as I opened up the assembly, the handle moved freely.
I mounted the lock (it is EXTREMELY EASY to install, and the package includes the drill bit that you need to make the one hole that differs from an normal door lock). Unfortunately the lock did not work correctly, so they...
