Amazon Customer: With the current world situation, my wife and I thought it might be a good idea to finally upgrade at least one of our bathrooms with a Japanese style bidet toilet seat. We were not disappointed. This showed up much sooner than expected, hooked up without any issues or need for extra parts, and works great!! It is half the price of the Japanese alternatives and the only problem so far was related to me not reading the instructions prior to installation (that was ok though, we needed to clean the floor anyway. Make sure that the little plastic valve on the bottom of the seat is in the "closed" position). I cannot attest to reliability yet, as it has been in place for less than a day so far, but if anything changes I will be sure to adjust this review.

Lee: I bought this product as advised by customer care and had it installed by the plumber, but it was kind of wobbly. The size was elongated and did not fit my toilet. Support people were extremely accommodating and sent me (at no charge) the proper unit. When talking to customer rep I asked if they also would cover the re-installation but he assured me that I will be able to do it myself. Hmmmm... not sure about that...

However when the unit arrived and I looked at what needs to be done - I was actually able not only to exchange it but also install it better than the plumber, to my surprise. The product is of great value for the money and design allows for super easy installation. Suffice to say that I am not a plumber or an engineer. Far from that - I am a 70-year-old woman with no handy experience...

Montfleur: This is our 3rd Bidet seat and we loved the previous two, but they were sold as "features"in our last home. We just returned form a trip to Japan, Taiwan and S.Korea and had one in every hotel bathroom and didn't realise how much we missed this gadget. Our current home has a regular bidet in the Mater bathroom and we use it frequently.

The biggest issue with these is that you need a GFI plug in reasonably close proximity to the toilet that it is to be installed on, otherwise you need an unsightly extension cord, or spend money to install one with the mess it entails. Fortunately our guest suite has a GFI plug in close proximity and we hope our guests will enjoy using it.

The only issue I have is that the night light is on constantly, even during the day. It was very easy to install and I hope it works for many years, as I can't figure out how to release it from the mounting bracket. The screws that came with it cannot be released from below, and are different from all other standard toilet seats. Called customer support and they responded immediately with solutions.

This does everything that we need. great buy.

Rev Rider: I have been installing bidets in master bathrooms since 1974, when I renovated an old house in Atlanta. That one, a Kohler, cost me $1,600 for unit and fixtures alone. Installed it myself. How much is that $1,600 in 2018 dollars? At least $4,000, right? So, we just built our retirement house in the mountains of western North Carolina and didn't have enough room to include a separate bidet in the master. Decided to try one of these because I thought the well-reviewed Totos were overpriced This thing is fabulous! Much better than a regular bidet for cleaning and for the instant hot water. Like it so much I'm ordering another for the guest bath. At this price if the thing works for two years or more it'll be more than worth it. The funky blue night light is an added feature that I really like for those middle of the night trips to the toilet.

I’ve seen a lot of reviews complain about the adapter, or the lack of enough parts. This unit comes with the only adapter you need, and all the parts you need. I think people must be using it wrong. Henry Lee: Great seat for the price. Just can't get anything for this price range. Install was fairly easy, and buttons works well. It doesn't has a fan but I think that's gross anyway. I would highly recommend this product if you're looking for a high quality lower price bidet seat. I really don't see how much better a $500-700 seat would be.

Edit: it’s now 2021 and I’m looking to buy another one for my kid. Mine is 3 years old and still works perfectly to this day. One great benefit I didn’t realize I’d love so much is that it glows blue. When it’s 3am and you need to go, your brain just tells you go to the light! To also note, the price has gone up by 60%...not sure if it’s due to COVID but it’s not $250 anymore.

Tbolt427: This is the first product of this type I have used, and I find it to be almost life changing. Without getting too graphic, the older I get the tougher it is to remain clean in "that area", and I was using bunches of TP and wipes.
With this device I have cut out the wipe thing completely, and use only enough TP to pat dry. I hate having to "go" anywhere else now!
In addition to it's function, the design of the seat is much better than any home seat I have had. It has that curl in the back to better fit a person's contour, and is also cut back to where the tailbone makes no contact. Yeah, I know they say you are not supposed to spend any more time there than necessary, but I tend to read, and have not experienced the leg falling asleep with this seat as I have with the ordinary kind. The slow-fall lid is a handy addition also. Just push it down a few inches, and it will slowly and silently shut.
One small negative, as others have mentioned, is the controls are not back lit. I plan to use a piece of tape on the button that I use, which is an easy solution to this.

After returning from a trip in Asia where three of my hotels had electric bidets, I decided it was time to catch up to the cleanliness standards of more advanced societies. I had experience with a variety of seats and options and decided that the only things I care about in a washlet are:
1. Warm water (It took me a day to figure out that one of the seats I used had the heater turned off!!!)
2. Adjustable sprayer position
3. Adjustable spray pressure
4. Warm seat
The Slim ONE has it all, and a few things I don't need - like a turbo feature and the bowl light. More expensive models will do things like lift up the lid automatically and blow dry your butt, but really - so what? I decided I did not want a remote controlled unit since two of the wahslets I used on my trip had remote control issues.
