Small Submersible Water Pump by Little Giant - PE-1

Larry O.: I had a Little Giant for many, many years so I expected this one would follow the great reputation. So far I am very pleased with the pump, lots of push. I did take a chance and purchased one that said some damage to box but in good shape. The box certainly was as described but the plastic filter guard that snaps in place over the propeller housing was slightly broken, meaning it had a small piece severed from the guard. I simple pieced it together to see how it would fit and then used Gorilla super glue to make the repair. So far it looks like new and is still holding. You can tell the quality by the weight. These pumps have a good history.

Jardinaire: This is a replacement pump for our small fountain. We will see how long it lasts as it is almost twice the cost of the last one. It is working fine after three weeks.

Craig H.: I used the last pump for everything, but mostly as a slower sump pump for my basement. Something that isn't going to suck the dirt off the floor! They push just enough water to keep up and can sit and "sip" drops for hours on end and not burn out. I left it out and it snowed and I hit it with the blower. Thus I needed a new one.

The Tech Guy: I ordered this Little Giant 518400 PE-2H Pump which is supposed to have 1/40 hp motor, 300GPH and 12' foot Lift.

On both orders I received a smaller, inferior 518200 PE-1 pump which has only a 1/125 hp motor, 170GPH rating and a maximum lift of 7' feet.

Both times I had to go through the hassle of sending the pump back and then watching my credit card for refunds.

however the product description reads: Style: 1/125 HP 170 GPH

Until Amazon or Little Giant fixes the errors in this listing and the stock in Amazon's warehouse I do not recommend ordering this pump as the item that arrives is not the same as the product listing. You will end up like me ... with the hassle...
