J. Adams: The first thing I noticed is the pieces delivered to me had already been partially assembled, but they were loose. I suspect it was previously returned. The tools themselves are 2-3 pieces and need to be tightened. The shovel and poker keep coming loose, so I have to crank the handle a bit to keep it from feeling flimsy. I'm debating whether to return or just add some industrial adhesive to the joints. The finish is very matte, but rough, and does show ash very visibly when used. Not a huge deal, just beware that you will need to clean the tools if you want them to look pristine on display. Tongs can open quite wide and are study, which is nice for my large logs. The shovel opening is flat and even, which is nice so you don't get a ridge of ash. The brush bristles feel a bit cheap, but they are soft and work well so far. Overall, a great value for the price if the finish isn't super important to you. My only complaint is to make sure everything is tightened (and perhaps glued) before using them.

CathleenCathleen: Well worth it for the price. I would have given it 5 stars but the powder coating was already chipping off when I took it out of the box. Great value for the money as I have seen similar sets for well over $100. Pretty sturdy as well, it would get knocked over easy if bumped but it is solid to hold everything up. Overall very happy with the purchase and will be well used this winter for our wood stove.

Danny: This tool set is great. No weak solder points as everything gets screwed in place. The tools are heavy and seem to be well built. Only downside is when assembling some of the threads required a bit of force to screw in completely due to thickness of coatings on the threads. If this happens to you as well, try using another piece to screw on. The handles, rods, tool heads, support bracket and base are all separate, wrapped in plastic and need to be assembled (took about 5 minutes or so). Came well packaged. Only thing is the brush head had a lot of particle debris in it's bag (probably from the shipping). Used an air can to get rid of that. Product is of greater quality than I expected and feels good and solid in your hand. Compared to more expensive ones I saw in a specialty store quality looks to be about equal. Well worth the purchase.

Theresa: Handles had disappeared on my fireplace tools. I was tired of looking at them and having to change the handle or use the tools without one. I love the new ones! The handles are black (my old ones were brass) and look so nice! I actually enjoy building a fire in my fireplace now! If your looking for fireplace tools, I would highly recommend these!

Amazon Customer: Good quality for the price the broom tip is a little cheap but you cant go wrong for the price.
The handle and the stick are in heavy cast iron.

Jacqui: This is a great little fireplace toolset! I was a bit weary considering how cheap the price was, but was happily surprised at how study and attractive it is! You do need to assemble it yourself, but assembly was very easy and quick. It is quite a heavy set, being made out of cast iron, but that also means it should last a long time. It matches our home aesthetic perfectly, and most importantly for us, it takes up minimal space. This toolset feels sturdy and looks nice while also providing all the tools you need.
